These pads are designed to channel air flow to the sanding disc for cooler operation, prolonging the life of the disc. Install the backup pad onto the tool’s arbor, then attach a sanding disc and secure with a retaining nut.

Soft—Soft pads have a thicker layer of foam than hard pads, which conforms to contoured surfaces. They're also great for finishing work.

With a free-spinning hub, these pads rotate independently while their raised ribs graze the back of the disc to clear debris and prolong the disc's life. Mount the backup pad to your tool’s arbor, then attach the sanding disc and secure with a nut.
