Outside Micrometers for Pipe, Tubing, and Flat Surfaces
Switch out anvils depending on the shape of the item you're measuring. Use the rounded anvil to measure the wall thickness of pipe, tubing, and other curved surfaces. Use the flat anvil to measure flat surfaces.
This micrometer has a friction thimble with a constant-force mechanism, so that once the spindle contacts the surface of the measured object, it will stop tightening. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. Once the spindle stops tightening, the thimble will continue turning with resistance.

Flat Surfaces with Calibration Certificate
This micrometer comes with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST that states it has passed a test for accuracy. Switch out anvils depending on the shape of the item you're measuring. Outside Micrometers for Pipe and Tubing
These micrometers have a round anvil for measuring the wall thickness of pipe, tubing, and other curved surfaces. All have a ratchet-stop thimble with a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to open and close the micrometer. A constant-force mechanism stops the micrometer’s spindle from tightening once it contacts the surface of the measured object. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. When the spindle stops tightening, the thimble stops turning, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.
295 models have a mechanical analog counter that displays measurement readings. They do not require batteries.
395 model displays measurements on an easy-to-read LCD. It has zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, which retains the measuring position when the micrometer is turned off. A zero-set button allows you to start measuring at any point.
