Food Industry Abrasion-Resistant Natural Rubber Balls

FDA compliant for direct contact with food, these balls are often used to clean screens in vibrating sifters in food, beverage, and other sanitary environments. You can also use them as seals in pumps and check valves. All are made of natural rubber, which is also known as gum rubber and latex rubber.
Metal- and X-ray detectable balls contain metal and chemical additives that will set off metal detectors and show up on X-ray machines if they fall into your line, helping you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs. The metal additive also makes it easy for magnetic traps to catch the balls—or any piece of them—that fall into a line. All are bright blue, making them easy to spot. These balls do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA), which is a chemical that can contaminate your process lines. Free of plasticizers, they won’t impart tastes or odors to items they come into contact with.

Food Industry Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane Rubber Balls

- Color: Gray
- Temperature Range: 0° to 180° F
- Tensile Strength: 3,900psi
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
Safely use these balls in food and pharmaceutical environments to clean screens in vibrating sifters or to act as a seal in pumps and check valves. They're polyurethane with metal and chemical additives, which means they absorb shock and resist abrasion like rubber and are strong like plastic but also include additives that make them detectable on hygienic lines. These additives will set off metal detectors, X-ray machines, and magnetic traps if these balls fall into food. This helps you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs. These balls do not contain BPA or plasticizers, so they won’t cause contamination or impart tastes or odors to products. They are FDA compliant for direct contact with food.

Stud-Mount Ball Transfers

Install these ball transfers in a threaded hole or use a nut to secure.
Steel balls are durable. Nylon and polypropylene balls are nonmarking. Nylon is stronger than polypropylene. However, polypropylene resists chemicals better than nylon.
Ball transfers with an angled working orientation can be used to form support stands.
Capacity is given for the ball up orientation. Using these ball transfers in a ball down or angled orientation could reduce the capacity stated.
