    Button/Coin Cell Batteries

    Sized to fit into devices with small battery compartments, these batteries are often used with watches, sensors, and calculators. When choosing a battery, use the capacity, measured in milliampere-hours, to compare among similar sizes. The higher the mA-hr. rating, the longer the battery should last.

    Reduce battery costs by powering devices with rechargeable batteries. These batteries work well in high-drain devices such as digital cameras. When choosing a battery, use the capacity, measured in milliampere-hours, to compare among similar sizes. The higher the mA-hr. rating, the longer the battery should last.
    Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery—Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries last longer than nickel cadmium batteries. Recharging without completely draining first does not affect battery life.
    Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) Battery—Nickel cadmium (NiCad) batteries should be drained completely before recharging for maximum battery life.
    Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Battery—Lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries are lightweight and long lasting. For maximum battery life, recharge before they drain completely.
    Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)—Batteries with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry can be recharged more than twice as many times as NiMH and NiCad batteries. They’re more stable than other lithium batteries, reducing the risk of thermal runaway if exposed to overheating or short circuiting. Note: These batteries can only be used with LiFePO4-compatible chargers.
