    Sealed

Reduce friction between rotating parts that don’t require high speed or precision, such as the shafts in hand cranks and casters.
Open—With no rubber seal to block airflow, these bearings dissipate heat quickly, extending the life of the lubricant and reducing friction over time.
Shielded—The balls are covered just enough to keep out large particles while allowing air to pass through and dissipate heat.
Sealed—The best choice for dirty environments. A barrier seals out dust so it won't gunk up or wear down the balls. However, these bearings retain the most heat since air can't flow through.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
Extended Inner Ring—Connect to mating parts without the need for a spacer. The inner ring juts out farther than the outer ring, so shaft collars and other objects won't touch the bearing's moving parts.

    Quick-Mount Ball Bearings

    Set-Screw

    Shaft Mount

Slip onto a shaft and secure with the turn of a screw. You don't need any special tools to mount these bearings.
Set-Screw Shaft Mount—Tighten the screws against the shaft to hold the bearing in place. For high-speed applications, consider clamp-on shaft mounts, which are less likely to slip.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
Sealed—The best choice for dirty environments. A barrier seals out dust so it won't gunk up or wear down the balls. However, these bearings retain the most heat since air can't flow through.

Light Duty Ball Bearings with Retaining Ring

Install these bearings by hand in the housings of rotating parts that don't require high speed or precision, such as the shafts in hand cranks and casters. The ring stops the bearing from being jostled out of place when it experiences sudden forces parallel to the shaft (thrust loads).
Sealed—The best choice for dirty environments. A barrier seals out dust so it won't gunk up or wear down the balls. However, these bearings retain the most heat since air can't flow through.

    Bearing

Install these bearings directly onto hardened and ground shafts. They have higher load capacity, speed, and accuracy than standard needle-roller bearings.
Open Bearing—Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.
