Set Screw Collar Ball Bearings

Slip these bearings onto a shaft and secure with the included set screws, no special tools required. All have an extended inner ring for additional shaft support.
Bearings with a black-oxide steel ring have some corrosion resistance.
Sealed bearings block out dust and other contaminants better than shielded bearings.
Bearings with a retaining ring have a removable retaining ring that holds the bearing inside a housing.

One-Piece Thrust Ball Bearings

In addition to handling higher loads than three-piece ball bearings, one-piece bearings are easier to handle. They have an outer band that holds the bearing together and acts as a shield against dust and other contaminants.

Startup friction causes these porous bronze bearings to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. They are also known as Oilite® bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Temperature Dry-Running Thrust Bearings

Graphite provides a layer of dry lubrication that operates in high-temperature environments.
Graphalloy bearings perform at extreme temperatures and under water. They are electrically conductive and wear resistant. They’re also our highest temperature thrust bearings.

Mounted Ball Bearings
Bearings are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment. Seals block out dust and contaminants.
Bearings with nickel-plated cast iron housing are more corrosion resistant and durable than bearings with a cast iron housing.
Bearings with a set screw secure to shafts without using a collar. They let shafts rotate in both directions, so they’re good for applications where you need to reverse. However, the set screw will leave some marring on the shaft.
Bearings with eccentric lock have a collar that you twist in one direction to grip and the other to release. Compared to bearings with a set screw, they’re easier to install, require less adjustment over time, and are better for high-speed applications. But, they only work on shafts that spin in one direction.

Compact-Base Mounted Ball Bearings

Also known as tapped-base bearings, these ball bearings mount to surfaces from the bottom through threaded holes. Because of their narrow profile, they’re commonly used in tight-clearance spaces, including systems where multiple shafts are mounted close together.
Set screw shaft-mount bearings secure to shafts when you tighten the set screw, with no need for an additional collar. Set screws cause some amount of marring on shafts.
Concentric lock shaft-mount bearings have a locking collar that centers and secures the shaft in the bearing bore. To install these bearings, tighten the single screw on the locking collar around its inner ring on your shaft. Their firm grip on shafts reduces vibration for quieter operation.

High-Speed Mounted Ball Bearings

These bearings have the highest speed ratings of any mounted ball bearing that we offer. The clamp-on collar creates a 360° grip around the shaft for a strong, mar-free hold. Bearings are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment.
Bearings with torque indicator tell you when the shaft is centered, ensuring smooth rotation in applications with high vibration.
Shielded bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.

Washdown Mounted Ball Bearings
Meeting IP69K for washdown environments, these mounted ball bearings are used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants. All have NSF registered H1 lubrication, which is certified for incidental contact with food and is suitable for food and beverage applications. Made of 316 stainless steel, they resist corrosion and prevent rusting caused by salt water, chlorine solutions, and chemicals.
Set screw bearings secure to shafts as you tighten their screw. They don’t need a collar, but the screw does leave some marring on shafts.
Clamp on bearings have a locking collar to center shafts and secure them better than set screw bearings, so there’s less vibration and noise. To install them, tighten the locking collar’s screw until it grips the inner ring.
Snap optional covers onto bearings to shield them from moisture. Made of polypropylene, they resist corrosion, won’t absorb water, and are FDA compliant.

Extra-Clearance Mounted Ball Bearings

Keep shafts, such as those with a shoulder, clear of the mounting surface. These bearings have a higher mounting base that gives them more space to the mounting surface than standard mounting bases. All have a set screw for securing them to shafts without having to use a collar. The screw lets shafts rotate in both directions, so they’re good for applications where you need to reverse.

Bearings are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment. Seals block out dust and contaminants.
Bearings with a set-screw shaft mount secure to shafts with no need for an additional collar. They can be used for bi-directional shaft rotation when applications require reversing action. The set screw may cause some marring on the shaft.
Bearings with an eccentric-lock shaft mount are better than bearings with a set-screw shaft mount for high-speed applications, but only rotate in a single direction.

Swap out worn inserts instead of replacing the entire mounted unit. Use the manufacturer model number on your existing mounted bearing to choose a compatible insert. Inserts must be used with the manufacturer model number specified.
Bearings with eccentric lock have a collar that grips in one direction and releases in the other. They are easier to install onto shafts than bearings with a set screw grip and require less adjustment over time. Use with shafts that spin in one direction only.

Flush-Mount Screw-Clamp Bushings

Insert these bushings into the bore of your sprocket for flush or recessed mounting. They handle shock loads and have higher torque ratings than self-centering bushings. When you tighten the included clamping screws, the bushing's inner sleeve contracts onto the shaft and the outer sleeve expands to hold your sprocket, pulley, or gear. They can be mounted on shafts with or without keyways.

Quick-Disconnect (QD) Bushings

The screw connections on these bushings easily mate to compatible quick-disconnect sprockets and pulleys. Bushings fit quick-disconnect (QD) sprockets and pulleys of the same bushing style. As you tighten the included screws, the bushing grips the shaft and pulls it into the sprocket or pulley.

Taper-Lock Bushings

Mount these hubless bushings flush into your sprocket or pulley for a slim profile with no protruding screws. They are for use with taper-lock sprockets of the same bushing style. As you tighten the included set screws, the bushing grips the shaft and pulls it into your sprocket or pulley.
