    Bearings

    Washers

Small but mighty, our thinnest rolling thrust bearings slot into tight spaces and spin at whirring speeds. Their long, slender rollers support thrust loads and reduce friction in everything from machine tool spindles to gearboxes.
A cage holds the rollers in place. You can install these bearings without washers between hardened, ground surfaces for the thinnest profile. If you’re working with unhardened, unground surfaces, you’ll need two washers for the rollers to run on. This three-piece design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.

    Washers for Needle-Roller Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Roller Bearing Washers.
These hardened steel washers protect softer shafts and housings from the rolling contact of needle rollers. Without them, needle rollers can indent and score unhardened surfaces, leading to premature wear and bearing failure. Positioned between the bearing and each mating surface, these washers distribute thrust loads evenly and extend service life. They adapt needle-roller thrust bearings for unhardened, unground surfaces.

    Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sleeve Bearings. Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings.
Made of naturally slippery plastic so you’ll never have to add lubricant. They’re ideal for clean environments where you need to prevent oil drips or graphite flakes. Compared to metal bearings, they are lighter and will never rust.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
MDS-Filled Nylon—A step up from standard nylon bearings. Upgraded with fine particles of molybdenum disulfide (MDS), these bearings have extra lubricity and wear resistance. However, they’re still nylon and will swell and weaken when exposed to moisture.
Extreme-Load Ultra-Chemical-Resistant Fiberglass-Backed PTFE—Our strongest PTFE bearings. They’re ideal for heavy loads thanks to a backing layer made of fiberglass. The PTFE core is unaffected by the harsh fluids that other plastics can't handle, including all strong acids and bases.

Extreme-Temperature Mounted Sleeve Bearings with Four-Bolt Flange

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Mounted Bearings. Extreme-Temperature Mounted Sleeve Bearings with Four-Bolt Flange.
From cryogenic chill to heat-treating furnaces, these bearings endure it all. Made to glide in temperatures from -400° to 750° F, they support shafts in conditions that seize or destroy other bearings. With graphite lubricant that never degrades, they require little to no maintenance.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings stand up to dusty, dirty conditions better than ball bearings. However, with more friction generated, they're less effective at high speeds. The sturdy housing's four-bolt flange supports shafts with a stronger connection to the mounting surface than two-bolt alternatives.
Powder-Coated Cast Iron Housing—A rugged iron base coated in thick powder that protects against water, mild detergents, and oil. However, if the coating is scratched or chipped, the underlying iron may rust.
Misalignment Capability—Bearings compensate for as much shaft misalignment as the degree listed. This extends the life of the bearing and protects against wear if shafts are slightly askew.

Install and forget these self-lubricating bearings. All are made from porous metal and saturated with oil to reduce maintenance and downtime. A good all-around choice, they are used in everything from palm-sized fans in electronics to tire-sized pulleys. Although these bearings will work in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures get too high. Consider a graphite-lubricated bearing for higher temperatures or places where you can’t afford the mess. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
Flanged sleeve bearings combine a sleeve and thrust bearing in one. The flange supports thrust loads and prevents the bearing from being pushed out of place. The sleeve is the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
High-Load 863 Iron Copper—Iron makes these bearings harder, stronger, and more resistant to sudden starts and stops than 841 bearing bronze. However, they operate at slower speeds. The increased iron content makes these bearings appear silver.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away at higher temperatures.

    Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings.
Our simplest-to-use thrust bearings, with no moving parts and no need to lubricate. Their porous surface releases oil over time, so you can install and forget them. While they run in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures climb too high. For extremely hot environments, consider graphite-lubricated bearings. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
841 Bearing Bronze—A balance of strength and speed makes these bearings a good choice for most applications. Also known as SAE 841 bearing bronze.
Extreme-Load Heat-Treated Iron Copper—Our strongest oil-embedded thrust bearings. They're heat treated to form a uniform internal grain that makes them stronger than 863 iron copper. As a result, they're often used to support extreme loads in earth-moving equipment and railroad applications. The increased iron content also makes them appear silver.
Mineral Oil Base—Mineral oil consistently lubricates at most temperatures but doesn’t last as long as synthetic oil.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away if the bearing heats up.

Oil-Embedded Flanged Sleeve Bearings for Food and Beverage

These lead-free bearings are infused with a food-grade oil that is odorless, colorless, tasteless, and safe for incidental contact with food. They’re often used in food and beverage processing, packing, and handling equipment. All are made from porous metal and saturated with oil to reduce maintenance and downtime. If you need a bearing rated for direct contact with food, consider dry-running flanged sleeve bearings for food and beverage. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.

Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings for Food and Beverage

Infused with food-grade oil, these bearings are safe for incidental contact with food. The oil is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, so they're common on food production and packaging lines. You can install and forget them since their porous surface releases oil over time. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
If you need a bearing rated for direct contact with food, consider dry-running thrust bearings for food and beverage.
841 Bearing Bronze—A balance of strength and speed makes these bearings a good choice for most applications. Also known as SAE 841 bearing bronze.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away if the bearing heats up.

With ID tolerances sized specifically for reamers, these bushings ensure steady and precise hole finishing. Press them into a fixture plate with a manual or hydraulic press for permanent installation. Also known as headless bushings, these ANSI-type P bushings don’t need counterboring to be mounted flush. They are made of hardened, ground steel that holds its shape and resists wear, so they last for many cycles without needing to be replaced.
