    Ball Bearings

Smoother than smooth—the balls inside these bearings roll nearly friction-free. You’ll often find them on rapidly rotating parts, from the whirring chuck on a power drill to the spinning shaft on an electric motor.
Open—With no rubber seal to block airflow, these bearings dissipate heat quickly, extending the life of the lubricant and reducing friction over time.
Shielded—The balls are covered just enough to keep out large particles while allowing air to pass through and dissipate heat.
Sealed—The best choice for dirty environments. A barrier seals out dust so it won't gunk up or wear down the balls. However, these bearings retain the most heat since air can't flow through.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
Corrosion-Resistant 440C Stainless Steel—Combine the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. These bearings won't degrade from water or mild chemicals, such as the ammonia in cleaning solutions. However, they'll weaken when exposed to salt water and harsh chemicals, such as bleach.
Highly Corrosion-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel—The most corrosion-resistant metal bearings we offer. They won't pit or weaken from salt water or harsh chemicals, such as bleach and chlorine found in cleaning solutions.
ABEC Rating—Bearings with an ABEC rating meet industry tolerance standards established by the Annular Bearing Engineers Committee (ABEC). They're rated on a scale from 1 to 9. The higher the rating, the tighter the tolerance. Bearings rated ABEC 1 or 3 are precise enough for most applications. If your application consistently runs at high speeds or requires high accuracy, consider bearings rated ABEC 5 or higher, since they generate less friction and heat.

    Flanged Ball Bearings

Install these bearings inside a housing and they won't budge. The flange presses against the housing wall, so vibration and other sudden forces parallel to the shaft (thrust loads) won't knock them off-kilter.
Open—With no rubber seal to block airflow, these bearings dissipate heat quickly, extending the life of the lubricant and reducing friction over time.
Shielded—The balls are covered just enough to keep out large particles while allowing air to pass through and dissipate heat.

    Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

Misalignments correct themselves on the fly in these bearings. Two rows of balls have separate raceways in the inner ring and a shared raceway in the outer ring, so the balls rock back and forth to compensate for misalignment. This construction also reduces noise and vibration.
Open—With no rubber seal to block airflow, these bearings dissipate heat quickly, extending the life of the lubricant and reducing friction over time.

Ball Bearings for Food and Beverage

Image of Product. Front orientation. Ball Bearings. Ball Bearings for Food and Beverage, Sealed.

    Sealed

Food production rolls along smoothly on these bearings. Greased with FDA-compliant lubricant, they’re safe to install on food-processing equipment, such as conveyor belts, so long as they don’t directly touch the food. The lubricant is a solid material that fills the space between the balls and releases oil over time, so you'll never need to add more.
Sealed—The best choice for dirty environments. A barrier seals out dust so it won't gunk up or wear down the balls. However, these bearings retain the most heat since air can't flow through.

    High-Precision Ball Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Ball Bearings. High-Precision Ball Bearings, Shielded.

    Shielded

The most precise bearings we offer, with tolerances tighter than a speck of dust. Rated ABEC 7 out of 9, they meet strict tolerance standards established by the Annular Bearing Engineers Committee (ABEC). You'll find them in equipment that requires both high speed and pinpoint accuracy, such as gyroscopes.
Shielded—The balls are covered just enough to keep out large particles while allowing air to pass through and dissipate heat.

    Dry-Running Ball Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Ball Bearings. Dry-Running Ball Bearings.
Made of naturally slippery plastic so there's no lubricant to maintain or make a mess. These bearings are ideal for spic-and-span spaces since oil won't drip off, wash out, or collect dust over time. They won't rust or warp from moisture, so they stand up to thorough cleanings.
Open—With no rubber seal to block airflow, these bearings dissipate heat quickly, reducing wear and extending the life of the bearing.
Acetal—The most common choice for plastic bearings, acetal is economical yet still stands up to daily wear and tear.
316 Stainless Steel Balls—Won't corrode from salt water or harsh chemicals, such as bleach and chlorine found in cleaning solutions.
Glass Balls—Nonmagnetic, so they won't interfere with sensors and other sensitive electronics.

Made of naturally slippery plastic so you’ll never have to add lubricant. They’re ideal for clean environments where you need to prevent oil drips or graphite flakes. Compared to metal bearings, they are lighter and will never rust.
Flanged sleeve bearings combine a sleeve and thrust bearing in one. The flange supports thrust loads and prevents the bearing from being pushed out of place. The sleeve is the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
Ultra-Chemical-Resistant PTFE—The most chemical-resistant bearings we offer. PTFE is unaffected by the harsh fluids that other plastics can't handle, including all strong acids and bases. PTFE also reduces friction better than nylon but is not as strong.
High-Load Moisture-Resistant Rulon LR—Won’t swell in wet or humid places, similar to acetal, but can support higher loads. These bearings also operate smoothly from cryogenic to oven-like temperatures.
Moisture-Resistant Ultra-Low-Friction Plastic Blend—These bearings won't warp or swell from humidity or direct contact with water. They glide effortlessly for applications with frequent starts and stops, such as conveyor systems.

From one compact system, transmit linear or rotary motion or both at once (sometimes called spiral motion). Because of these different motions, these ball screw/splines and bearings create efficient, fluid movements in complex automated applications, such as pick-and-place robots.
The ball bearings move smoothly and precisely, even at high speeds. They're powered independently, so you can drive one bearing at a time or both together to coordinate movements.
The ball screw/splines are hardened on the surface, so they stand up to repeated motion. They’re also hollow, so you can run electrical wiring, compressed air tubing, coolants, or lubricant through their center.

    Bearings

    Washers

Small but mighty, our thinnest rolling thrust bearings slot into tight spaces and spin at whirring speeds. Their long, slender rollers support thrust loads and reduce friction in everything from machine tool spindles to gearboxes.
A cage holds the rollers in place. You can install these bearings without washers between hardened, ground surfaces for the thinnest profile. If you’re working with unhardened, unground surfaces, you’ll need two washers for the rollers to run on. This three-piece design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
