    Thin-Profile Crossed-Roller Bearings

    For a more compact machine, these bearings have thinner inner and outer rings than high-load crossed-roller bearings. Route hydraulic lines, electrical wiring, and other components through the inside of the bearing.     Small but mighty, our thinnest rolling thrust bearings slot into tight spaces and spin at whirring speeds. Their long, slender rollers support thrust loads and reduce friction in everything from machine tool spindles to gearboxes.
    A cage holds the rollers in place. You can install these bearings without washers between hardened, ground surfaces for the thinnest profile. If you’re working with unhardened, unground surfaces, you’ll need two washers for the rollers to run on. This three-piece design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.

    Made of naturally slippery plastic so you’ll never have to add lubricant. They’re ideal for clean environments where you need to prevent oil drips or graphite flakes. Compared to metal bearings, they are lighter and will never rust.
    Flanged sleeve bearings combine a sleeve and thrust bearing in one. The flange supports thrust loads and prevents the bearing from being pushed out of place. The sleeve is the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
    Ultra-Chemical-Resistant PTFE—The most chemical-resistant bearings we offer. PTFE is unaffected by the harsh fluids that other plastics can't handle, including all strong acids and bases. PTFE also reduces friction better than nylon but is not as strong.
    Moisture-Resistant Ultra-Low-Friction Plastic Blend—These bearings won't warp or swell from humidity or direct contact with water. They glide effortlessly for applications with frequent starts and stops, such as conveyor systems.

    Carbon Steel

    With a nylon insert that grips your threaded shaft or spindle without damaging its threads, these locknuts—also called shaft nuts—hold bearings, bushings, gears, and pulleys prone to vibration tightly in place. They come as one piece, so you can easily clamp them onto your shaft or spindle. But, since they aren’t made entirely of metal, they don’t stand up to heat as well as all-metal locknuts. Slots in their sides mean you can tighten and loosen them with a spanner wrench or spanner socket. Their face is also chamfered to help keep the size and weight of your assembly at a minimum. All meet international standards for bearing locknut dimensions.
    Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel—Zinc-plated carbon steel locknuts resist rusting from some moisture, but you shouldn’t use them with salt water or chemicals. They are strong and resist wear, though they don’t stand up to corrosion as well as 303 stainless steel locknuts.
    Thread Spacing—When choosing your thread spacing, consider the precision of your application. The finer the threads, the more control you have when making adjustments.
