    Thrust Ball Bearings

For silky-smooth motion, the balls inside these bearings roll nearly friction-free. You'll often find them at the end of a shaft or between a stationary and rotating surface, such as on a propeller or rotary table.
These bearings come as three separate pieces—one cage and two washers. The cage holds the balls in place, while the washers create a surface for the balls to roll on. This design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it's exposed.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.

Made of naturally slippery plastic so there's no lubricant to maintain or make a mess. These bearings are ideal for spic-and-span spaces since oil won't drip off, wash out, or collect dust over time. They'll also never rust.

Thick, pop-can-shaped rollers balance strength and speed. These bearings reduce friction and support heavier loads than ball or needle-roller thrust bearings.
They come as three separate pieces—one cage and two washers. The cage holds the rollers in place, while the washers create a surface for the rollers to run on. This design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.

    Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings.
Our simplest-to-use thrust bearings, with no moving parts and no need to lubricate. Their porous surface releases oil over time, so you can install and forget them. While they run in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures climb too high. For extremely hot environments, consider graphite-lubricated bearings. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
841 Bearing Bronze—A balance of strength and speed makes these bearings a good choice for most applications. Also known as SAE 841 bearing bronze.
High-Load 863 Iron Copper—Iron makes these bearings harder, stronger, and more resistant to sudden starts and stops than 841 bearing bronze. However, they run at slower speeds. The increased iron content also makes them appear silver.
Extreme-Load Heat-Treated Iron Copper—Our strongest oil-embedded thrust bearings. They're heat treated to form a uniform internal grain that makes them stronger than 863 iron copper. As a result, they're often used to support extreme loads in earth-moving equipment and railroad applications. The increased iron content also makes them appear silver.
Mineral Oil Base—Mineral oil consistently lubricates at most temperatures but doesn’t last as long as synthetic oil.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away if the bearing heats up.

    Thrust Bearings

With no moving parts, these bearings are the plainest way to support thrust loads while reducing friction. They don't come with lubricant, so you can choose the oil that's best for your application. Make sure to mount them where they're easy to access, since you'll need to replenish the oil frequently. All are fabricated and inspected in the U.S.
High-Load 932 Bearing Bronze—Cast from an alloy of leaded tin bronze for uniform rigidity and strength. Also known as 660 leaded bronze.
High-Load Chemical-Resistant 954 Bearing Bronze—The addition of iron and aluminum makes these bearings strong and exceptionally chemical resistant. You'll find them in demanding environments, such as salt mines. Also known as aluminum bronze.

    Bearings

    Washers

Small but mighty, our thinnest rolling thrust bearings slot into tight spaces and spin at whirring speeds. Their long, slender rollers support thrust loads and reduce friction in everything from machine tool spindles to gearboxes.
A cage holds the rollers in place. You can install these bearings without washers between hardened, ground surfaces for the thinnest profile. If you’re working with unhardened, unground surfaces, you’ll need two washers for the rollers to run on. This three-piece design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.

    Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sleeve Bearings. Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings.
Made of naturally slippery plastic so you’ll never have to add lubricant. They’re ideal for clean environments where you need to prevent oil drips or graphite flakes. Compared to metal bearings, they are lighter and will never rust.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
Nylon—The most popular choice, nylon is wear resistant yet economical. Keep in mind, though, that it will swell and weaken when exposed to moisture.

    Grooved Sleeve Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sleeve Bearings. Grooved Sleeve Bearings.
A figure-8-shaped groove provides a flow path for lubricant and distributes it evenly inside the bearing’s surface. A refill hole on the outside lets you inject your lubricant straight into the groove. These bearings don’t come with a lubricant, so you can select the oil that meets the needs of your application. You’ll need to refill the oil, so make sure the bearing is located where you can access it. All are fabricated and inspected in the U.S.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.

    Corrosion-Resistant Flange-Mounted Linear Ball Bearings

The bearing, housing, and balls of these mounted bearings are stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. The flanged housing is good for vertical linear motion applications. All bearings are for use with round end-supported shafts and have a fixed-alignment design for use where shaft misalignment is unlikely. End seals keep lubricant in and dirt out.

A flange with mounting holes makes it easy to attach a load to these bearings. Create a compact linear and rotary motion system for robots and other applications requiring complex, fast movements, by combining them with ball splines. These bearings move smoothly and precisely even at high speeds along ball splines while grooves on the ball spline transmit rotary power. Clip a retaining ring (not included) into the groove on these bearings to position them in your system.

Infused with food-grade oil, these bearings are safe for incidental contact with food. The oil is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, so they're common on food production and packaging lines. You can install and forget them since their porous surface releases oil over time. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
If you need a bearing rated for direct contact with food, consider dry-running thrust bearings for food and beverage.
