Ball Bearings
Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than shielded and sealed bearings.
Shielded bearings block out dust and other contaminants, but do not dissipate heat as efficiently as open bearings.
Sealed bearings block out dust and other contaminants better than open and shielded bearings, but retain the most heat.

Permanently Lubricated Ball Bearings
A solid polymer lubricant surrounds the balls, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. Because it's solid, the lubricant blocks out water and dust, extending the life of the bearing.

High-Load Crossed-Roller Bearings
The thicker inner and outer raceways on these bearings can handle heavier loads than the thin-profile crossed-roller bearings. Use in applications where highly accurate motion is necessary, such as machine tools and industrial robots.

Spherical-Roller Bearings
Two rows of rollers give these bearings dynamic radial load capacities over five times higher than comparably sized tapered-roller bearings. Also known as rock crusher bearings, they handle heavy shock loads and are used for metal milling machinery, mining and oil field equipment, and in paper mills.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Needle-Roller Thrust Bearings
Thinner rollers allow these bearings to fit in tighter spaces than tapered-roller thrust bearings. Because of the large contact area between the rollers and washers (not included), these bearings are great for medium to heavy duty, low-friction jobs. For use on hardened and ground surfaces.

Ring Shims
Precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on fasteners, shafts, and machinery with these shims.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment.
Carbon steel shims have excellent strength and can be welded, but aren't as corrosion resistant as other shims.
Spring steel shims are comparable in strength to carbon steel shims, but are harder and hold their shape better. They aren't as corrosion resistant as other shims.

Bearing Retaining Nuts
Often paired with spring lock washers to strengthen their hold, these retaining nuts—also known as shaft nuts—keep vibration from shifting bearings, bushings, pulleys, and gears on your threaded shaft or spindle. They have slotted sides, so you can tighten and loosen them with a spanner wrench or spanner socket.
Use stepped-face retaining nuts with DIN 462 spring lock washers. You can also use them in pairs or with other bearing retaining nuts as jam nuts. For the nut closer to the bearing, position the stepped face towards the bearing. All meet DIN standards for bearing lockout dimensions.
Carbon steel retaining nuts are strong and resist wear.

Bearing Retaining Jam Nuts
Used in pairs or with another bearing retaining nut, these jam nuts—often called shaft nuts—hold bearings, bushings, pulleys, and gears in place on your threaded shaft or spindle. Threading two nuts tightly against each other makes it harder for vibration to loosen your assembly than if you used only one nut. For the nut closer to the bearing, position the stepped face towards the bearing. These jam nuts have holes on the side, so you can tighten and loosen them with a pin spanner wrench. Made of carbon steel, they’re strong and wear resistant. All meet DIN 1816, an international standard for bearing locknut dimensions.

Flush-Mount Screw-Clamp Bushings
Insert these bushings into the bore of your sprocket for flush or recessed mounting. They handle shock loads. When you tighten the included clamping screws, the bushing's inner sleeve contracts onto the shaft and the outer sleeve expands to hold your sprocket, pulley, or gear. They can be mounted on shafts with or without keyways.
