Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Startup friction causes these bearings to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. They are also known as Oilite® bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Increased iron content makes these bearings stronger and more resistant to shock loads than standard oil-embedded bearings; however they operate at lower speeds. Startup friction causes them to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. Color is silver because of the iron. These bearings are also magnetic due to the high iron content.
863 iron-copper bearings are also known as Super Oilite® bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

For applications with frequent starts and stops, the oil in these bearings contains particles of slippery PTFE that lubricate the bearing during startup.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

With extra iron and filled with oil containing slippery PTFE, these bearings support heavy loads that frequently start and stop along shafts. Startup friction causes a thin layer of oil to release onto the surface. Their high iron content also means they resist failing if their load suddenly and drastically increases, but they won’t run as fast as standard bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

Food Industry Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

The oil in these bearings is suitable for incidental contact with food. Startup friction produces a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Food Industry Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Embedded with oil that is safe for incidental contact with food, these bearings are suitable for use in high-load applications such as bottling and filling lines in food processing plants. They are also known as Super Oilite® bearings. Startup friction releases the embedded oil onto their surface in a thin layer. Bearings are made of 863 iron-copper, which makes these bearings strong and resistant to shock loads.
Bearings with NSF H1 registered lubrication comply with NSF standards for incidental contact with food.

Food Industry Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings

Made of FDA-listed materials or FDA compliant, these bearings are for use in food applications. They also withstand caustic and washdown environments.
Acetal bearings are FDA compliant for direct contact with food. They’re also bright blue, making them easy to spot if they fall into your line.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

Needle-Roller Bearings

Also known as drawn-cup roller bearings, these are our thinnest roller bearings. The outer ring is drawn out to form a lip that holds the bearing together. Bearings take on the shape of their housing and may be oblong prior to installation.
Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.

Linear Ball Bearings

Bearings are for use with round end-supported shafts. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included). For bearings with retaining ring grooves, secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with end seals keep lubricant in and dust out.
Bearings with stainless steel balls are more corrosion resistant than bearings with steel balls.
Fixed-alignment bearings are for use where shaft misalignment is unlikely.

Quick-Disconnect (QD) Bushings

The screw connections on these bushings easily mate to compatible quick-disconnect sprockets and pulleys. Bushings fit quick-disconnect (QD) sprockets and pulleys of the same bushing style. As you tighten the included screws, the bushing grips the shaft and pulls it into the sprocket or pulley.
304 stainless steel bushings resist corrosion from washdowns and humidity, so they’re common in food-processing plants and other frequently-cleaned areas. You can machine the center of these bushings to fit the exact dimensions of your shaft.
