Buffing Pads for Flat Surfaces—Use with Angle Polishers

Keep your hair out of the way to prevent stray hairs from contaminating food.
Bouffant-style hats and hairnets cover your entire head. For short- to medium-length hair, use those with a 20" to 21" stretched diameter; for longer or thicker hair, choose a 24" stretched diameter. Hats and hairnets with a neck guard also extend down the back of your neck to cover neck hairs.
Metal-detectable hats and hairnets have a built-in metal clip that will set off metal detectors if they fall into your food line. They’re also bright blue, which makes them easy to spot. Use them to help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs.
Polypropylene fabric offers economical protection in environments where liquid splashes are not a concern.
Polyester fabric is lightweight mesh, which provides excellent breathability for all day wear.
Tyvek polyethylene fabric holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers that form a barrier that's soft yet strong.
Kleenguard polypropylene fabric is made of five layers of nonwoven fabric, so it is harder to tear than Tyvek polyethylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The material is antistatic, so it protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharge.

Beard Covers
Minimizing facial hair contamination, these beard covers are often used in food-processing and pharmaceutical plants. They’re made of breathable, lightweight polypropylene mesh. Slip them on and off using the single elastic head strap.

Clean Room Hairnets

Spark-Resistant Hats
Flares and fires are no match for these flame-retardant hats. They are snug enough to fit under a welding helmet. To select the right size, measure your head circumference just above your ears, where the hat will rest. If you are between sizes, order one size up.
Cotton beanies and caps are breathable and washable. They’re treated to protect against low radiant heat and minor sparks from small welding jobs.
Carbon/aramid beanies protect against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks.
Flame- and Arc-Flash Cold-Protection Hats
These hats meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. These hats are made of abrasion-resistant aramid/viscose blend fabric, which keeps you warm without accumulating moisture.

Cold-Protection Hats with Lights
Light up your space when you’re working in cold conditions. These hats have built-in LEDs, so you don’t need to wear a headlamp or hold a flashlight. Made of stretchy fabric, they fit snugly on your head to trap heat. Press a button on the front of the hat to turn the lights on or off. You can also use the button to change the distance setting: the beam angles down for close-up tasks or illuminates up to 72 feet ahead. These hats come with four replaceable batteries that power the lights for up to 68 hours.
Shampoo Caps
Quickly remove contaminants from your hair with these cleansing caps—no rinsing required. Fit a cap over your head and massage the shampoo into your hair. The soft inner layer is gentle on hair and skin, and a waterproof cover contains the mess. Once you’re clean, toss the cap and return to work.
Fan Shroud Air Filters
These filters fit over fans with round guards to trap dust and debris, keeping contaminants out of the air and off of your fan. An elastic band holds them securely in place.
Front-mount filters fit over the entire front of fans, blocking dust that has entered the fan from blowing back out into the air. Back-mount filters have a center hole, and secure around a fan’s motor housing with a hook and loop closure. They filter air as it enters the fan, protecting the blades and bearings from wear and damage while also reducing the amount of dust the fan will blow out.
Polyester filters are disposable—replace them when they’re dirty. Polypropylene filters have an electrostatic charge that attracts particles, and can be washed and reused.
Dirt and dust stands out on white filters, so it’s easy to see when they need to be cleaned or replaced.
