Also known as breakout boots, these splitters insulate and seal the point where wire splits off from cable. An adhesive lining melts when the splitter is heated and bonds to the underlying surface, creating a water-resistant seal.
Splitters for round cable are often used with armored cable, sheathed cable, and conduit ends.
