    Electrically Insulating Heat-Shrink Tubing

Insulate and protect high-voltage devices. This tubing withstands higher voltages than standard heat-shrink tubing because it’s made of a flame-retardant material with excellent electrical insulation properties. It’s orange, so it’s easy to identify.

Tubing for a maximum voltage of 2,500V AC is designed for use in electric vehicles. It shrinks at a lower temperature than 5,000V tubing, so you can avoid damaging nearby components when applying heat. This tubing meets UL 224 VW-1 for flame retardance.
Dielectric Strength—Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

Tubing for a maximum voltage of 5,000V AC protects bus bars and other high-voltage devices. It meets ANSI C37.20 for insulating metal-enclosed equipment that generates, transmits, and distributes power.
Dielectric Strength—Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.
