Capacitance Boxes

Test, troubleshoot, and prototype a circuit without having to solder and desolder individual capacitors. Also known as capacitance decade boxes, they apply a specific capacitance to your circuit so you can determine the optimal capacitance needed.
Use these boxes in testing and development in place of a capacitor. To integrate them into your circuit, make connections to the binding posts, then flip a switch or combination of switches. When troubleshooting a circuit, you'll know your issue was a faulty capacitor if you connect the box in its place and the circuit behaves as expected. For prototyping, they'll help you determine what size capacitor your circuit needs. Or, just use them instead of a capacitor if you don't feel like soldering.
The switches are additive, so you can create any capacitance, in 100 pF increments, from 100 pF to 11.111 µF.
