USB Hubs
Connect additional ports to your computer. These hubs can run off a computer’s power. USB ports are backward compatible, so they work with cords and connectors that meet the same or a lower USB standard.
Shielded hubs reduce electrical interference from nearby devices to maintain signal strength.
Hubs with a 120 volt AC power adapter can be plugged into an outlet.
Hubs with a security cable connection lock in place with your computer's security cable to protect against theft.

Access Control Cable

- Use For: Buildings
- Flexible
- Temperature Range: 32° to 165° F
- Insulation: PVC Plastic
Wire multiple components in your security system using a single cable. This cable bundles together four color-coded cables that correspond to each part of an access point: the card reader, the door contact, the lock, and the exit sign. Each interior cable is labeled with the component it matches. All four interior cables have a layer of foil around them to prevent signal interference from nearby devices. Designated CMP, it has a flame-resistant, low-smoke insulation and can be used without conduit in duct work and above a drop ceiling. It’s also known as plenum cable. It’s rated FT6, so it meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames and smoke based on a timed test with material mounted to a horizontal tray.

RFID Reader/Writer Kits
Scan and sort RFID-tagged inventory, track RFID-tagged items around your facility, and control building access. Unlike bar code scanners, these readers/writers can scan multiple tags simultaneously without direct line of sight. Plug in the included power supply, and connect them directly to your host system, such as a PC or programmable logic controller (PLC). As tagged items pass by, these readers/writers quickly read and transmit data to your system or write new information to the tags.
Configure your reader/writer settings and access tag data through a web browser interface. Reader/writers have color LEDs built in to indicate each successful scan. Choose a reader/writer that is compatible with the frequency of your RFID tags, cards, and labels (not included). Reader/writers meet ISO and IEC standards for frequency ranges.
High-frequency reader/writers are good for short-range scanning. They’re often used to sort or track items on a conveyor belt and to scan ID cards for facility access. Ultra-high-frequency reader/writers are good for long-range scanning and when scanning ranges may vary. Capable of reading up to 64 individual RFID tags in one scan, they’re often used to track inventory in bulk, such as pallets of tagged items.
Sensing distance for your reader/writers is reduced when tags are smaller, misaligned, not optimized for their mounting material, or scanned in hot or cold environments. The sensing distances in the table below represent typical factory conditions for a 26 × 100 mm tag optimized for its mounting material.

RFID Cards

Grant facility access to staff and authorized visitors with these cards. An alternative to ID badges with bar codes, they store and share loads of information without needing a line of sight to scan. Their high frequency lets them transfer data up to 4 in. away from an RFID reader/writer. Capable of both read and write functions, their memory can be repeatedly rewritten and reused. These cards’ memory is protected by its plastic body, unlike cards with printed bar codes, which can scuff, smudge, and wear out over time. They meet ISO and IEC standards for frequency ranges, and they’re CE marked to meet European health, safety, and environmental protection requirements. IP68 rated, they will still work in dusty or wet environments.

Proximity-Touch Time Clocks

Record attendance with the touch of a badge or key fob. The included software lets you generate and edit reports. Upload data to your PC using a CAT5 ethernet cable. This clock is compatible with common payroll software such as QuickBooks and ADP. The display shows the time, date, and day of the week.
Total-the-Hours Time Clocks

These clocks save you time at the end of a pay period by automatically totaling each employee’s hours on their time cards. They print automatically when a card is inserted. The display shows the date, day of the week, and time (an internal calendar auto-adjusts for daylight saving time). Time cards are sold separately.
Battery-Powered Keypad Combination Door Handles with Proximity Reader
These handles accept optional HID-compatible proximity cards or key fobs to regulate access for up to 5,000 employees. Download free software to track employee traffic, program access times, assign different combinations to different people, and restrict access when necessary. Unlock the outside handle with a combination, the included key, or an optional proximity card or key fob. The inside handle is always unlocked.
Backset distance is the distance from the door’s edge to the center of the handle's mounting hole. Latch bolt projection is the length the latch bolt extends from the door's edge.

RFID 22 mm Panel-Mount Key Switches
Control circuits with the tap of an RFID tag. Since each tag (sold separately) has a unique digital code, these switches aren’t just quicker to use than those with a traditional key—they’re also more secure. Use them to limit access to sensitive equipment, prevent accidental actuation, and also to keep tabs on access. Unlike standard switches, the RFID reader records data about every signal sent, so you can track exactly who operated these switches and when. They have enough memory to store and manage up to 500 tag codes, which you can rewrite and deactivate as needed.
All fit in a standard panel cutout. To set up these switches, connect them via ethernet cord (sold separately) to a computer, programmable logic controller (PLC), or another controller. No separate RFID writer required.
Pick readers with a key fob holder when you want a circuit to stay on. The holder keeps a fob in front of the reader, so there’s no need to tap and re-tap the fob.
Ethernet switches (sold separately) let readers communicate with other devices and circuits in your system on the same network.
