About Brightness and Light Appearance

Find the right lumen level to brighten your space. Then, compare the way warm, neutral, and cool lighting affect the appearance of everyday objects.

Outdoor Wall Lights

Light up entryways and paths alongside your building for safe travel after dark. These lights are also known as wall packs. Mount them to outlet boxes on the exterior of your building.

These lights meet UL or ETL for wet locations. Lights rated IP65 are sealed to keep out dust and driving rain. Lights rated IK10 are the most impact resistant, so they’re a good choice for busy public areas. They have a tough polycarbonate lens and tamper-resistant screws to help deter vandalism.

Styles A-E have a switch for selecting the light appearance. Connect them to your lighting control system or toggle the light sensor to automatically turn them on when it gets dark. Style F must be paired with a wall switch or another control in your electrical system.

Lights with an adjustable beam angle have a switch for selecting a narrow, medium, or wide spread of light. Lights with a downcast beam are also known as full cut-off lights. Often installed above doors, they help reduce glare by aiming light down instead of toward your eyes.

Marine-Grade Outdoor Wall Lights

From docks to shipyards, these lights illuminate walkways exposed to salt spray or heavy rain. They’re marine listed and tested for 1,000 hours to ASTM B117 standards, which means they’ll resist corrosion to last for years in salty, coastal weather. Rated IP66, they’ll also seal out dust and pressurized water.

Lights with an emergency backup battery stay lit for two hours if the power goes out.

Add a light and motion sensor (sold separately) to turn lights on at dusk, off at dawn, or to dim them at night until motion is detected. When the motion sensor is triggered, the light will shine at full brightness for 30 minutes then shut off. To make changes to the duration of lights activated by a motion sensor, or to keep lights dim all night, add a remote control (sold separately).

Add rail mounting brackets (sold separately) to attach these lights to a 2" OD railing.
