Also known as marking punches, strike these with a hammer to mark hole centers in metal and other materials. Use before drilling to prevent your drill bit from wandering when starting a hole.

They satisfy OSHA requirements that specify nonsparking tools for locations where flammable vapors and combustible residues are present. Nonsparking tools are not, however, classified as antistatic because they do conduct electricity.
