Ceramic Fiber Insulation Sheets for Furnaces

Image of Product. Front orientation. Insulation Sheets. Ceramic Fiber Insulation Sheets for Furnaces.
The most common of our flexible high-temperature sheets, these are used to insulate furnaces. They also can be fabricated into gaskets. Insulation performs best at temperatures above 1,000° F.
Without Binder—Sheets without binder don’t have a binder that can burn when installed, so they won’t produce a strong odor. They’re often used to vacuum heat treat furnaces. However, they’re weaker and more brittle than sheets with a binder.
With Binder—Sheets with binder are stronger in structure, easier to cut, and more pliable than those without a binder. The binder will burn out at 350° and release gas with a strong odor, so only use them in applications where burnout is not an issue.

Ultra-High-Temperature Ceramic Fiber Pipe Insulation Strips

Withstands the highest temperatures of all our pipe insulation. Made of ceramic fiber, this insulation won't melt, sag, or degrade in extreme heat. It's often used in ovens, furnaces, steel mills, and other demanding environments.
Alkaline Earth Silicate Ceramic Fiber with Foil Jacket—Withstands temperatures up to 2100° F. A foil jacket protects against dirt, dust, moisture, and minor scuffs. Its surface also reflects heat to keep temperature loss from pipes to a minimum.
Calcium Aluminum Silicate Ceramic Fiber—Strong and durable, this insulation stays in place for many years without degrading.
Ceramic Alumina Fiber—Handles higher heat and keeps the temperature of your line steadier than our other ceramic fiber insulation. It's ideal for your hottest applications, such as steam reformers and furnace piping.
Adhesive Backing—Install insulation without having to hold it in place—simply position and secure it using band clamps or other components of the assembly. Apply while cool. Heat above 400° F starts to weaken the adhesive, but the insulation's temperature rating remains unaffected.

    No-Irritation Ceramic High-Temperature Wire Sleeving

Unlike fiberglass and silica, this sleeving won't irritate skin, so it’s easier to handle. It withstands open flame and molten metal splash, making it a good choice for welding applications. The ceramic fabric also resists acids, alkalies, alcohol, solvents, oil, and gasoline. Because this sleeving is non-expandable, it does not stretch, so it’s best for applications where you know the exact diameter of the items you need to protect. It meets MIL-I-24244 for material quality.

    Ultra-High- and Low-Temperature Rope Seals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rope Seals. Ultra-High- and Low-Temperature Rope Seals.
A wide temperature range makes these ceramic fiber seals equally suitable for use in cryogenic applications as they are for extreme-heat applications. They’re made from tightly woven calcium alumina silicate, so they won’t burn and they resist molten metal splash. They also resist steam, salts, grease, detergents, bleach, and hydraulic fluid; however, they will absorb these substances. Push them into the groove that’s commonly built into oven doors, furnaces, and tanks.

    Ultra-High- and Low-Temperature Ultra-Conformable Rope Seals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rope Seals. Ultra-High- and Low-Temperature Ultra-Conformable Rope Seals.
Alumina silicate is loosely woven to create these ceramic fiber seals that are stronger, more flexible, and able to resist higher temperatures than Ultra-High- and Low-Temperature Rope Seals. They are commonly used as to tie products together during high-temperature processing, but they can handle cryogenic applications just as well. They won’t burn and they resist molten metal splash. These seals also resist steam, salts, grease, detergents, bleach, and hydraulic fluid; however, they will absorb these substances. Push them into the groove that’s commonly built into oven doors, furnaces, and tanks.

    Ultra-High-Temperature Chemical-Resistant Flanged Rope Seals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated, MultipleImages. Rope Seals. Ultra-High-Temperature Chemical-Resistant Flanged Rope Seals.
A ceramic fiber cover makes these seals more chemical resistant than the seals with a silica fabric cover. Seals resist acids (except hydrofluoric and phosphoric), diluted alkalies, most refrigerants, salts, and grease. The flange on these seals slides into a slot that is commonly found on oven, furnace, and boiler doors; it can be positioned to cover large gaps.
