How to Identify and Measure Fittings
Pipe size is an industry designation, not the actual size. View information about how to measure threaded and unthreaded pipe and pipe fittings.

High-Pressure Socket-Connect Steel Unthreaded Pipe Fittings
Socket-connect fittings are easier to weld than butt-weld fittings because the fitting doesn’t need to align perfectly to the pipe. Slide pipe into the socket and weld for a strong, permanent connection. Fittings have heavy duty construction that stands up to high-pressure applications. They are for use in noncorrosive environments.
F22 chrome-moly steel is stronger and easier to weld than plain steel. It resists scaling even in steam applications.

Thick-Wall Steel Unthreaded Pipe Nipples and Pipe
- For Use With:
Steel: Air, Hydraulic Fluid, Natural Gas, Oil, Steam, Water
P22 Chrome-Moly Steel: Air, Natural Gas, Oil, Steam, Water - Specifications Met: See table
- Fittings:
Steel: Use Class 3000 or Schedule 80 steel

Steel: Use Class 300 or Class 600 Steel
Thick, Schedule 80 walls give this pipe better strength than our standard-wall steel unthreaded pipe. Weld it to fittings and additional lengths of pipe. Welded connections are stronger than threaded connections and less likely to leak. Pipe is seamless, so it has a smooth interior for unrestricted flow. It is for use in noncorrosive environments.
P22 chrome-moly steel is stronger and easier to weld than plain steel. It resists scaling even in steam applications.
