    Coiled Cotter Pins
    3D CAD models available

Free of sharp ends, these pins secure components without snagging or cutting surrounding material. They are similar to split rings but easier to install—just insert the center prong into the hole and twist. Although coiled pins are reusable, they won’t withstand vibration and stress as well as other cotter pins.

Zinc-Plated Spring Steel—These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they're not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.
