Clevis-End Plug-Lock Wire Rope End Fittings—For Lifting

Fray the end of the wire rope with a marlin spike and screw the socket over the plug to install. An inspection hole confirms proper installation—If wire strands are visible, the fitting has been properly secured.
Use an assembly kit (not included) to support the wire rope while you drive the plug into the wire rope end.
Warning: Fittings must match rope diameter and be installed correctly to obtain maximum holding power. Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.
Zinc-Plated Steel—Zinc-plated steel fittings have mild corrosion resistance.
316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel fittings are the most corrosion resistant fittings we offer. They have excellent resistance to salt water and chemicals.

Wedge-Lock Wire Rope End Fittings—For Lifting

Also known as open wedge sockets, these end fittings require only a torque wrench to install. To install, wrap the wire rope around the removable wedge before securing it inside the body. A wire rope clamp attached through the top hole in the wedge secures the short (dead) end.
Two additional holes at the bottom of the wedge can be used as a "go/no go" gauge to determine the proper rope size. The wire rope should pass through the "go" hole and not through the "no go" hole.

Closed-Body Clevis-to-Wire Rope Turnbuckles—Not for Lifting

For use with wire rope in light duty applications, these turnbuckles have a closed body that protects threads from damage and debris. This closed body also means these turnbuckles have a slim profile and fit in tight spaces. Their compression grip fitting is also known as a hand swage fitting. Made of 316 stainless steel, they have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water.
To attach wire rope, compress the thin shank wall with a hand tool.
