Clevis-End Plug-Lock Wire Rope End Fittings—For Lifting
Fray the end of the wire rope with a marlin spike and screw the socket over the plug to install. An inspection hole confirms proper installation—If wire strands are visible, the fitting has been properly secured.
Use an assembly kit (not included) to support the wire rope while you drive the plug into the wire rope end.
Zinc-plated steel fittings have mild corrosion resistance.
316 stainless steel fittings are the most corrosion resistant fittings we offer. They have excellent resistance to salt water and chemicals.
Warning: Fittings must match rope diameter and be installed correctly to obtain maximum holding power. Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.

Assembly Kits for Plug-Lock Wire Rope End Fittings
Place the wire rope and sleeve through a hole in the assembly block and tighten into a vise to hold. Then attach the plug driver on the end of a plug to make hammering in the plug easier.
Clevis-End Sleeve-Grip Wire Rope End Fittings—Not for Lifting
To install, unscrew the fitting, slide over the wire rope, then tighten the pieces together with a wrench. Use for light-duty securing, tethering, and suspending. Made of 316 stainless steel, these are the most corrosion resistant fittings we offer.

Wedge-Lock Wire Rope End Fittings—For Lifting
Also known as open wedge sockets, these end fittings require only a torque wrench to install. To install, wrap the wire rope around the removable wedge before securing it inside the body. A wire rope clamp attached through the top hole in the wedge secures the short (dead) end.
Two additional holes at the bottom of the wedge can be used as a "go/no go" gauge to determine the proper rope size. The wire rope should pass through the "go" hole and not through the "no go" hole.

Clevis-End Compression-Grip Wire Rope End Fittings—Not for Lifting
Compress the thin shank wall with a hand tool (sold separately) to attach these light duty end fittings. They are also known as hand swage fittings. Made of 316 stainless steel, these are the most corrosion resistant fittings we offer.
Warning: Fittings must match rope diameter and be installed correctly to obtain maximum holding power. Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.
