SMC AFD30-D Compressed Air Filters

Also known as coalescing filters, these filter elements fit in SMC modular compressed air filters to remove oil and particles. Check the manufacturer series on your filter to ensure compatibility.

Elements that remove particles down to 0.3 microns are less likely to clog than those that filter to 0.01 microns. Use them for general purpose compressed air, or as a prefilter to protect higher purity filters from clogs.

Elements that remove particles down to 0.01 microns remove even the smallest contaminants from your compressed air. Use them for applications where air purity is critical, such as food processing, electronic manufacturing, or pharmaceutical production.

SMC Modular Compressed Air Filters for Oil Removal

Also known as coalescing filters, these filters remove compressor oil to extend the service life of air-powered tools and equipment. They connect to other SMC units of the same series with joiner clamps (sold separately)—even if the pipe sizes are slightly different—so you can customize your air preparation system. To prevent clogs, install a particle filter before the oil filter.

Filters with a filter service indicator signal when the filter element needs to be replaced. The indicator will turn increasingly red as the filter clogs.

Joiner clamps (sold separately) connect these filters to another SMC modular component with the same series number. These clamps come with mounting brackets to attach them to a wall or equipment.

Replace a damaged bowl on your SMC modular compressed air filter, or switch to a different bowl material or drain type. These bowls come with an O-ring to ensure a tight seal.

Bowls with an automatic drain periodically release condensate into the air, eliminating the need for manual emptying.

Aluminum bowls are more durable than plastic bowls, so they hold up better to bumps and drops.

BSPP threads are also known as G threads. BSPT threads are also known as R threads.
