Thin-Wall (EMT) Metal Conduit and Fittings

Image of System. Front orientation. Conduit and Fittings. Thin-Wall (EMT) Metal Conduit and Fittings.
With a thinner wall, this conduit is a lighter alternative to IMC and RMC. The most common choice for indoor walls and ceilings, it shields wiring from scrapes and bumps. EMT can dent or crush from impact, however, so it should be routed away from high‑traffic areas where carts and vehicles pass through.

Zinc-Plated Steel—The strength of steel with a plating that protects from occasional exposure to moisture.
Zinc Alloy—A good option for light duty applications that don't require high strength. These fittings resist occasional exposure to moisture.
316 Stainless Steel—Our most corrosion-resistant fittings won't degrade when exposed to salt water and harsh chemicals.

Medium-Wall (IMC) and Thick-Wall (RMC) Metal Conduit and Fittings

Image of System. Front orientation. Conduit and Fittings. Medium-Wall (IMC) and Thick-Wall (RMC) Metal Conduit and Fittings.
The industry standards, IMC and RMC conduit systems offer the most durable protection indoors, outdoors, and underground. Both types have the same outside diameter, so they use many of the same fittings. This interchangeability makes retrofits easier and reduces the parts you need to keep on hand.
