    Grinding Cones for Straight Grinders

    Style 5

    Longer lasting than grinding bits, these abrasive cones remove heavy amounts of material and leave a rough surface texture. They have a threaded insert that attaches to the spindle on a straight grinder. Use in corners and inside castings.
    Caution: Use only accessories that have a greater rpm rating than the maximum speed of the grinder you choose.
    Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—For use on steel, aluminum oxide is the most common abrasive used in grinding metals.
    Zirconium Oxide Ceramic Abrasive—For use on steel and stainless steel, zirconium oxide ceramic grinds faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide.
    Head Diameter—Head diameter is measured at the widest point.
