Glass Graduated Cylinders

Style B have a polyethylene bumper to prevent the cylinder from breaking if tipped over. Remove the bumper when heating or autoclaving the cylinder.
Style C have graduations that can be read from the top down and from the bottom up.
Crucibles

Mix and melt small quantities of powders and chemicals.
High-purity alumina crucibles stand up to alkalies and other flux. They also withstand higher temperatures than porcelain and PTFE plastic crucibles, making them best for high heat applications.
Optional lids are sold separately.
Glass Mixing Flasks

Also known as volumetric flasks, these have a wide base and long neck for fast mixing. A fill line indicates the capacity. Remove lids before autoclaving.

Liquid Samplers

Steel with
Pull Ring
Collect liquid samples from drums, tanks, and other containers. These samplers open and close, so you can gather samples at a targeted depth in your tank. All are autoclavable, so you can sterilize them with steam.
Stainless steel samplers are the most durable and chemical resistant. They also resist corrosion. Less porous and less likely to scratch than plastic, they’re easy to sanitize. Open and close them by pulling up on the center ring.

Sterile Dippers

Cleaned and individually bagged, these dippers reduce the risk of cross-contaminating samples. Use them to scoop and transfer liquid, then dispose of them when done. The hook end lets you stage them on the side of your tank or vessel, so they’re there when you need them. Thread on the lid to seal your sample and snap off the handle to use these dippers as containers.

Jars for Density Meters

Get the most accurate readings when measuring liquid with a density meter. Also known as hydrometer jars, these jars are sized to eliminate surface tension that could distort readings. Pour your liquid into the jar, then immerse your density meter until it floats.
