Antifreeze/Coolant Testers

Floats visually indicate the level of freeze protection in coolant systems. Insert the tube into your coolant tank, squeeze the bulb to draw in coolant, and count the number of buoyant floats. The more buoyant floats, the higher the freeze protection.
Disc floats are larger than ball floats for increased visibility.
Concentration Meters

Also known as refractometers, these measure concentration with two or three drops of a solution. Place your sample on the reflecting prism and look through the eyepiece to view the concentration on the internal scale.
Concentration meters with automatic temperature compensation standardize readings at 68° F to prevent inaccurate results in fluctuating temperatures.
Concentration meters with Brix (sugar) scale measure sucrose concentration.
Meters with 0% to 18% and 0% to 90% concentration range also measure cutting/grinding coolants, oil/water, cleaning solutions, anodizing solutions, plating/acid baths, and chromating solutions.

Easy-Read Concentration Meters

Don’t strain your eyes reading a scale—these concentration meters indicate exact results on the display. Automatic temperature compensation standardizes readings at 68° F to prevent inaccurate results in fluctuating temperatures.
Lubricant Analysis Kits

Send in samples of your grease, oil, or coolant, and get back a full report on the condition of both your lubricant and equipment. Sample results will be emailed to you within three to five business days. If the lab discovers critical conditions, they will call you to provide guidance on how to address the problem. Kit includes six bottles with labels, so you can test multiple samples.
Kits for testing gear box oil and hydraulic oil report wear metals (including ferrography), additive concentrations, particulate and water contamination, and viscosity.
Kits for testing grease include wear debris analysis and elemental analysis for wear debris, contamination, and additive concentrations.
Kits for testing coolant check for anti-corrosion additives, boiling and freeze point, and monitoring for contamination found in regular tap water.
