Cut a cone-shaped opening in a hole to install your rivet flush with the surface. The 100°, 110°, and 120° countersink angles are compatible with standard rivet heads.

Carbide

They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so use a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage.

Reverse Countersinks for Rivets

If an obstruction blocks access for standard countersinks, these tools enter from the reverse side instead. They're often used to add countersunk holes to surfaces in preassembled parts. Put the shank (sold separately) in your drill chuck and insert it all the way through the hole. Then reach into the confined space to stick the countersink head onto the shank. Pull back on the drill to countersink the hole.
