Thin-Wall Butt-Weld Stainless Steel Unthreaded Pipe Fittings
Also known as Schedule 10 fittings, these are thin and lightweight. They have beveled ends that, when flush to pipe, create a trough for a strong weld that permits maximum flow.
304 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel fittings have excellent corrosion resistance.
Stub-end straight adapters are used with flanges. Slide a flange onto the stub end and weld the stub end to pipe (not the flange). Since the flange isn’t welded to the pipe, it can be disconnected easily, which creates an access point for frequent cleaning and inspecting.

Thin-Wall Stainless Steel Unthreaded Pipe

- For Use With: Air, Natural Gas, Oil, Water
- Specifications Met: ASTM A312, ASME B36.19
- Fittings: Use unthreaded Schedule 10 stainless steel
Also known as Schedule 10, this pipe is thin and lightweight. Weld it to fittings and additional lengths of pipe. Welded connections are stronger than threaded connections and less likely to leak. Pipe has a welded construction, so there is a weld bead on the inside.
304 stainless steel pipe has very good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel pipe has excellent corrosion resistance.

Thick-Wall Plastic Pipe Fittings for Water

Connect these fittings to Schedule 80 pipe–they have thicker, stronger walls than standard-wall fittings so they can handle heavy duty industrial plumbing and water supply applications, such as water processing, waste water treatment, and irrigation. Fittings are plastic for good corrosion resistance. They meet ASTM specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
Fittings for drinking water meet NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
Attach socket-connect ends to unthreaded pipe or another socket-connect fitting with a PVC primer and cement (also known as solvent weld).
Note: For fittings that are not rated for pressure, you can use the pressure rating of the plastic pipe as a reference. Threaded fittings are limited to 50% of the rated pressure of the pipe.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.

Low-Pressure Pipe Repair Clamps

Repair pinholes and cracks in low-pressure applications without having to disassemble your system. All clamps are 304 stainless steel for very good corrosion resistance. Choose a clamp that’s long enough to cover your damaged area with at least 1” on both sides.
Clamps with partial-coverage gaskets, also known as patch clamps, repair pinholes and small cracks. The gasket on these clamps wraps around as much as 40% of the pipe. Unlike clamps with full-coverage gaskets, you'll need to line up the gasket so it completely covers the damaged area.
Clamps with full-coverage gaskets repair larger areas than partial-coverage gaskets, such as nearly full-circle breaks. These clamps are easier to install than clamps with partial-coverage gaskets because you don’t need to line up the gasket with the damaged area. Those that have a zinc-plated steel strip work like a coupling, fixing even full-circle breaks.
Most Buna-N gaskets work with a variety of media, such as air, water, oil, and hydraulic fluid.
Buna-N gaskets with an additive work only with natural gas. Their additive makes them break down more slowly than other Buna-N gaskets.
EPDM gaskets can be used with steam and other high-temperature applications.
Neoprene gaskets work with water as well as air.
Clamps that meet NSF/ANSI 61 are safe for use with drinking water systems.

Medium-Pressure Pipe Repair Clamps

Use these clamps to repair pinholes and cracks in medium-pressure applications. They slip over your pipe, so there's no need to disassemble your system. Choose a clamp that’s long enough to cover your damaged area with at least 1” on both sides.
Clamps with partial-coverage gaskets, also known as patch clamps, repair pinholes and small cracks. The gasket on these clamps wraps around as much as 40% of the pipe. Unlike clamps with full-coverage gaskets, you'll need to line up the gasket so it completely covers the damaged area on both sides.
Clamps with full-coverage gaskets repair larger areas than partial-coverage gaskets, such as nearly full-circle breaks. These clamps are easier to install than clamps with partial-coverage gaskets because you don’t need to line up the gasket with the damaged area.
Iron clamps are often called emergency clamps.
304 stainless steel clamps have very good corrosion resistance; they are adjustable to accommodate slight variance of pipe OD due to aging or corrosion build up. They meet NSF/ANSI 61 safety standards for use with drinking water systems.
