Multipurpose Flexible Cylinder Hones

Abrasive-embedded balls at the ends of the flexible spindles press against the inside of a cylinder to remove material and leave a smooth, even finish. These hones are slightly oversized to maximize contact with the work surface. When your cylinder ID falls between two sizes, order the larger hone. Use with portable drills, drill presses, and CNC machines. Hones should be rotating when inserted into or removed from cylinders. We recommend using them with honing oil to keep the abrasive surface clean.

Also Available: Hones made of boron carbide, alumina zirconia, levigated alumina, ceramic, and cubic boron nitride. Please order 4424A999 and specify abrasive, cylinder ID, and grit. Grit availability varies by abrasive.

	Replacement Cylinder Honing Stones

The flexible shank on these hones gives you access to hard-to-reach spots. A knurled adjustment knob lets you adjust the pressure applied to the side of the cylinder to achieve your desired finish. The square end can hone to the bottom of step-cut and closed-end holes. Use on portable drills. We recommend using them with honing oil to keep the abrasive surface clean.
