    Starrett Contact Point Sets for Plunger Variance Indicators

    These contact points are compatible with indicators that conform to AGD standards. Most plunger indicators are classified in AGD Groups 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
    Radius Contact Point—Radius contact points are best for use on flat surfaces.
    Shock-Absorbing Radius Contact Point—Shock-absorbing radius contact points protect against mechanical shock. A sudden impact will cause the tip to retract into the contact point’s body.
    Button Contact Point—Button contact points are best for use on flat surfaces.
    Ball Contact Point—Ball contact points are for measuring indentations. They can also be used to measure flat surfaces.
    Bell Contact Point—Bell contact points are used for measuring convex surfaces.
    Tapered Contact Point—Tapered contact points can probe the bottom of a groove or narrow hole.
    Conical Contact Point—Conical contact points allow for precise positioning of the measuring tip. They are not for use on soft materials.
