    Pull-Out Dowel Pins
    3D CAD models available

    Remove pins even when you only have access to one end or they sit flush with the surface of your part. With one internally threaded end, they are easier to remove than most dowel pins. Thread a screw into the pin and then pull with the removal tool (sold separately). You can also pull the screw with pliers, but there’s more risk of damaging the hole.

    High-Strength Alloy Steel—Our strongest, most wear-resistant pins, these won't bend or break from vibration. Use them for high-stress applications, such as mounting and aligning hydraulic cylinders and injection molds. They perform best in dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
    Spring Steel—These pins won't deform from stress and vibration. They're stronger than stainless steel but not quite as strong as alloy steel. Pins perform best in dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
    Puller Handle—A complete removal tool requires a puller handle and a tip that fits your pin diameter. To use, thread a tip into the puller handle and then place the tip over the screw in your pin. Slide the weight along the handle to pull the pin out.

    Vented Pull-Out Dowel Pins

    Insert and remove from blind holes with less effort than pins that aren't vented. The vent relieves trapped air, so pressure doesn't create resistance as you install the pin. Because they have a tapped end, you can thread in a screw and pull the pin out with a removal tool (sold separately). You can also pull using pliers, but there’s more risk of damaging the hole.

    The flat side of these pins creates a vent that's less likely to be blocked than a spiral shaft, but doesn’t offer quite as strong of a hold.
