    Diodes

Keep the current in a circuit flowing in one direction. Use these diodes to manipulate signals or to protect your circuit from reverse currents, such as those created when a motor stops or slows down.
Reverse Breakdown Voltage—Reverse breakdown voltage is the voltage at which a reversed current will break through the diodes’ internal electrical barrier and flow backward.
Forward Voltage Drop—Forward voltage drop is the amount of voltage used up while current flows across diodes.
Reverse Recovery Time—Reverse recovery time is how long it takes for diodes to stop conducting current after the voltage is reversed.

    Diode Assortments

Control voltage and current in circuits with a variety of diodes.
    Standard, Schottky, and Zener Diodes
Image of Product. Front orientation. Diodes. Diode Assortments, Standard Diode.
Standard diodes keep the current in a circuit flowing in one direction. Use them to manipulate signals or to protect your circuit from reverse currents, such as those created when a motor stops or slows down.
Schottky diodes have faster switching speeds than other diodes, so they’re used to channel current in a single direction in circuits that switch frequently. They’re often found in radios and data processors.
Zener diodes regulate voltage in a circuit. When installed in reverse, they won’t conduct current until a set voltage is reached. After that point, they maintain the same voltage. Because they provide a stable voltage, they are often used as a reference point in amplifiers and other voltage-sensitive circuits.

Limit current to a single direction in circuits that power on and off frequently. Also known as Schottky diodes, these diodes switch faster than other diodes. They’re often used in radios, data processors, and other circuits with rapid changes.
Reverse Breakdown Voltage—Reverse breakdown voltage is the voltage at which a reversed current will break through the diodes’ internal electrical barrier and flow backward.
Forward Voltage Drop—Forward voltage drop is the amount of voltage used up while current flows across diodes.
