Some polyethylene aprons are metal detectable—they have a metal additive that sets off metal detectors if a piece of the apron falls into your line. They’re also blue, so it’s easy to find and remove the piece. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The material is antistatic, so it protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharge.

Chemical-Resistant Disposable Coveralls
These coveralls have a polyethylene coating to provide full body protection against chemical spills and splashes. A special type of Tyvek, these coveralls are soft yet tear and abrasion resistant. They have a zipper down the front.
Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tychem QC) resists inorganic acids and bases, including nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hydroxide.
Tychem 4000 (formerly known as Tychem SL) has a resin film in the coating, which makes it more chemical resistant than Tychem 2000. It holds up against acids and alkalies, including hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hydroxide.
Open cuffs provide better airflow than elastic cuffs. Elastic cuffs help keep dirt and grime out better than open cuffs.

Rain Suits
Keep dry in wet and rainy conditions. All suits include a hooded jacket with snaps down the front.
PVC is lightweight and good for single-use applications. The jackets have two waist pockets and snaps on the cuffs. The hood is detachable. Suits with pants have open cuffs on the sleeve and snaps on the legs to fit easily inside boots. Suits with bib overalls have snap cuffs on the sleeve and open cuffs on the bottom of the legs.
Bib overalls have adjustable suspenders to modify the length.
Pants have an elastic waist.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Find your waist size by measuring just above the top of your hip bone. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these suits.
