The floor plate has a low profile, so they won’t block doors or create a tripping hazard when the locking handle isn’t in place. For quick access to the locking handle, mount the included storage box next to your door. Barricades comply with UL 10C for fire-rated doors. Push your door open to automatically engage the holder; pull on the door to release. All of these holders have elongated mounting holes for positioning adjustments up to 15/16".
Door-to-Floor Clearance— Door-to-floor clearance is the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of your door.

Fire Alarm-Activated Wall-Mount Door Holders

For use with doors that already have a closer, these holders keep doors open with an electromagnet. When activated by a fire alarm, the magnet shuts off and releases the door. Wire these holders directly into your fire alarm system. All are reversible for right or left door-swing directions.
Mount the wall plate in an electrical outlet box or use a surface mounting box (sold separately).

Mount one end to the frame and the other end to the door to prevent it from opening too far.
For Exterior Doors—Chains for exterior doors have a spring on each end for greater shock absorption than the stop for screen and storm doors. A vinyl cover protects the chain as well as surfaces from damage.
