Weather winds up to 250 mph—these doors meet FEMA and ICC (International Code Council) standards for tornado shelters. They won’t buckle if hit with flying debris moving at high speeds. All have been tested to withstand not only tornado-level winds, but also to resist bursting open from hurricane-level flooding. They’re also UL rated to withstand exposure to fire for up to three hours and prevent flames from spreading. Rated FEMA 320 and 361, they’re suitable for both commercial and residential use, and they can be installed in large rooms such as warehouses. The door panels, core, and frame are made of 12 ga. steel—that's three times thicker than a typical steel door. Three locking points keep these doors anchored in the frame.

These doors come hung in the frame for convenient installation. Also known as a flush frame, the frame is designed to mount seamlessly into exterior brick or cement block walls. To determine door swing direction, stand on the side of the door where it swings away from you. If it opens to the right, it's a right swing door; if it opens to the left, it's a left swing door.
