    Single-End Studs

Image of Product. Front orientation. Single-End Studs.
Screw the threaded end of these studs into a tapped hole, and use the unthreaded end as a pivot point, hinge, shaft, or locator pin.
18-8 Stainless Steel—Made from 18-8 stainless steel, these studs are chemical resistant and may be mildly magnetic.

    Alignment Locks

Precisely align and lock together your mold halves, so they stay in place during high-pressure injection molding. They're used as the final alignment between your mold halves, after leader pins and bushings (not included) guide your mold halves close together.

Tapered round locks prevent sliding in all directions unlike top and side locks, which only prevent sliding in one direction. Install them where the two halves of the mold meet, often called the parting line. You’ll need to machine pockets in each half of your mold separately, so you’ll need to take extra care to make sure the two pockets are aligned. For a complete pair, you’ll need a male and female lock with matching ODs. The height does not need to match.

    Tapped Taper Pins

Image of Product. Front orientation. Taper Pins. Tapped Taper Pins.
These internally threaded pins sit flush in an assembly. For easy removal from a blind hole, thread a screw into the pin and pull out. Often used for positioning components and securing assemblies, they taper at a uniform rate to fit in tapered holes. Use a tapered drill bit that matches the pin number for a snug fit. They have slightly rounded edges to aid insertion.
12L14 Carbon Steel—12L14 Carbon steel pins have good strength.
ASME B18.8.2—Pins meet ASME B18.8.2 specifications for material and dimensions.

    Threaded Hole Location Gauges

Image of Product. Back orientation. Threaded Hole Location Gauges.
Find the true center of threaded holes to precisely align and measure parts. Once you thread these gauges into a hole, their cylinder sticks out as a reliable reference point. They’re often used with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to pinpoint the coordinates of the cylinder’s exact center. You can then use those coordinates to measure distances between points or reference them for error-free assembly. Even without a CMM, you can use these gauges with a micrometer to measure accurate center-to-center distances.
