    Pull-Out Dowel Pins

Remove pins even when you only have access to one end or they sit flush with the surface of your part. With one internally threaded end, they are easier to remove than most dowel pins. Thread a screw into the pin and then pull with the removal tool (sold separately). You can also pull the screw with pliers, but there’s more risk of damaging the hole.

Spring Steel—These pins won't deform from stress and vibration. They're stronger than stainless steel but not quite as strong as alloy steel. Pins perform best in dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.

Screw the threaded end of these studs into a tapped hole, and use the unthreaded end as a pivot point, hinge, shaft, or locator pin.
Steel—These studs are steel for strength and wear resistance. They’re best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust. All meet ISO 2342 (formerly DIN 427), an international standard for fastener dimensions.

    Vented Pull-Out Dowel Pins

Insert and remove from blind holes with less effort than pins that aren't vented. The vent relieves trapped air, so pressure doesn't create resistance as you install the pin. Because they have a tapped end, you can thread in a screw and pull the pin out with a removal tool (sold separately). You can also pull using pliers, but there’s more risk of damaging the hole.
    Flat Shaft
Image of Product. Front orientation. Dowel Pins. Tapped Head, Pull-Out Removal, Vented, Standard Tolerance, Flat Shaft.
The flat side of these pins creates a vent that's less likely to be blocked than a spiral shaft, but doesn’t offer quite as strong of a hold.
Spring Steel—These pins won't deform from stress and vibration. They're stronger than stainless steel but not quite as strong as alloy steel. Pins perform best in dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments. In addition to resisting rust, these pins also withstand mild chemicals such as cleaners and degreasers. They are strong enough to join most components but won't withstand extreme stress and vibration as well as steel.

Steel Headless Slotted Precision Shoulder Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shoulder Screws. Steel Headless Slotted Precision Shoulder Screws.
With no head, you can flush mount these screws in countersunk holes and tight spaces. You can also use them as pins for aligning parts. They are engineered to tight tolerances for assemblies that require smooth and accurate movement, with shoulder diameters twice as precise as those on standard-fit screws. Hand-tighten with a slotted screwdriver to avoid damaging the drive.

    Fixturing for Parts Inspection

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Coordinate Measuring Machine Plates and Fixtures. Fixturing for Parts Inspection.
From towers and brackets to standoffs and supports, these components are the building blocks for your custom fixturing setup. They elevate parts so you can access a variety of angles for measuring and inspecting while protecting your measuring device from hitting the inspection table. You’ll often see them used with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). They’re not for use in machining applications.
    Standoffs

Standoffs raise the height of towers and angle brackets or extend the reach of supports and clamps. Screw them into one another for added length.

    Ball-Lock Quick-Change Fixture Clamps

Image of System. Front orientation. Exploded view. Contains Annotated. Fixture Clamps. Ball-Lock Quick-Change Fixture Clamps.
Build these components into fixture plates, machine subplates, and tombstones for quick changes. The system clamps and locates at the same time for accurate positioning with repeatability of ±0.0005". Components are compatible with Jergens Ball-Lock, Carr-Lane Carr Lock, and Kurt PinLock quick change systems.
For accurate positioning, at least two sets of clamps, liners, and receivers are required. Install the receivers in the base plate and the liners in the fixture plate. Then line up the two plates, insert the clamps, and tighten their screws to secure the fixture in place. If more holding capacity is needed, use additional clamps and receivers but omit liners to prevent the clamp from getting stuck in the fixture plate.
    Receiver Plugs
Image of Product. Front orientation. Fixture Clamps. Ball-Lock Quick-Change Fixture Clamps, Receiver Plugs.
Push receiver plugs into unused receivers to prevent chips and coolant from accumulating during machining. When installed, plugs sit flush with the surface of the fixture plate. To remove, thread a screw into the tapped hole in the center and pull up.

    Threaded Hole Location Gauges

Image of Product. Back orientation. Threaded Hole Location Gauges.
Find the true center of threaded holes to precisely align and measure parts. Once you thread these gauges into a hole, their cylinder sticks out as a reliable reference point. They’re often used with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to pinpoint the coordinates of the cylinder’s exact center. You can then use those coordinates to measure distances between points or reference them for error-free assembly. Even without a CMM, you can use these gauges with a micrometer to measure accurate center-to-center distances.

    Fixture Plates

Lay the foundation for your fixturing setup. These plates have a grid with evenly spaced threaded holes to install angle brackets and other fixturing components. They’re often used to help secure workpieces for measuring and inspecting. Just like a battleship gameboard, the edges are labeled with letters and numbers, making it easy to identify holes. While these lightweight plates aren’t for machining, you can use them for light fabrication jobs, such as laser marking. All can be attached to your table with clamps (not included), making them easy to remove and swap.

Acrylic Plastic—Acrylic plastic plates are clear, so they let light pass through them. This gives you or your vison system unobstructed views of your workpiece from all angles.

    Clamps for Parts Inspection

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Coordinate Measuring Machine Plates and Fixtures. Clamps for Parts Inspection.
With a light yet sturdy hold, these clamps help you keep workpieces in place hands-free for measuring and inspecting. Thread them right into your fixturing surface, whether it’s a plate, tower, or table. Because they apply less pressure than machining clamps, they won’t distort your parts, so you can take accurate measurements. While these clamps aren’t sturdy enough for use in machining, you can still use them for light fabrication work, such as laser engraving.
    Hold-Down Clamps
Image of Product. Front orientation. Coordinate Measuring Machine Plates and Fixtures. Clamps for Parts Inspection, Tension Spring.

    Tension Spring

Hold-down clamps secure parts from the top.
Tension Spring—Tension spring clamps are the most common type of clamp. Slide the arm down the shaft until it touches the top of your workpiece. Since you apply pressure directly, using too much force might move your part.
