Drill Bits
These jobbers'-length bits have the rigidity and length required for most applications.
Black-oxide and black-and-gold-oxide drill bits produce less friction than uncoated drill bits.
Titanium-nitride (TiN) coated drill bits last longer and can drill at higher speeds than uncoated and oxide-coated drill bits.
Titanium-aluminum-nitride (TiAlN) coated drill bits are the most wear and temperature resistant for the longest life and highest drilling speeds.
Drill bits with a split point keep centered without a pilot hole.

Maintenance-Length Drill Bits
Also known as mechanics’ bits, these are shorter and more rigid than jobbers' bits but longer than short‐length bits. A split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.
Drill bits with flats on shank have three flat sides to prevent the bit from slipping in the drill chuck.

Carbide-Tipped Drill Bits
These jobbers'-length bits have the rigidity and length required for most applications. Made of carbide-tipped steel, which has better wear resistance than high-speed steel and cobalt steel, they maintain a sharper, harder edge at high temperatures for excellent performance on abrasive material, such as plastic. Because they aren’t as brittle as solid carbide bits, they can be used in less rigid setups, such as a hand-held drill.

In addition to resisting heat and wear better than high-speed steel drill bits, these can also run up to 25% faster and have a longer tool life. SDS-Plus-Shank Masonry Drill Bits for Rotary Hammers
The SDS-Plus shank has two deep slots and two shallow slots for use with SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers. These bits cannot be used with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers. Drill holes using simultaneous rotary and hammering action to break masonry material into tiny granules. This type of bit drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also called percussion or impact bits.

Drill Bits for Plastic
The sharp point allows for gradual penetration to reduce friction and eliminate cracking and chipping when drilling in plastic. These bits are jobbers' length and have the rigidity and length required for most applications.

Cobalt Steel Drill Bits for Stainless Steel and Nickel
Cobalt steel and a titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) coating provide the heat and wear resistance necessary for drilling in stainless steel and nickel alloys. These bits have parabolic spiral flutes, which lift chips out of the hole to reduce clogging and improve coolant flow. They are jobbers' length and have the rigidity and length required for most hand-held drilling and machine tool applications.

Cobalt Steel Left-Hand Drill Bits
With better heat and wear resistance than high-speed steel, cobalt steel bits can run up to 25% faster and have a longer tool life. Also known as reverse-flute bits, the flutes spiral in the opposite direction of other bits. Use in counterclockwise drilling applications such as removing broken screws. These bits are maintenance length, also known as mechanics’ length. They are shorter and more rigid than jobbers’ bits but longer than short-length bits. The split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.

Drill Bit Cases
Store and organize drill bits so they stay in good working condition and don't go missing. These cases have individually marked holes for each size in your set.
Steel cases have stands that fold in and out. Stand them up when you need them, then fold them back into the slim case for storage inside a workbench drawer.

Oversized Long-Life Counterboring Drill Bits
These counterbores are often used when screw holes in sheets or layers are misaligned. Also known as subland drill bits, they last longer than standard counterboring drill bits because the diameter stays the same after sharpening. They drill and counterbore at the same time. After drilling and counterboring, tap the hole and install your fastener. The diameters account for the 1/32” or 1/64” oversized diameter rating.

Screw-Guiding Bit Adapters
Keep bits from slipping. Insert a bit into the adapter, place a screw on the end of the bit, and slide the adapter sleeve over the screw. The sleeve retracts as the screw is driven. Use hex-shank bits (also known as insert bits) in drills and powered screwdrivers.
Plastic sleeve is clear so you can see that the bit is making contact.

Tight-Clearance Ratcheting Bit Screwdrivers
A ratchet mechanism allows you to drive fasteners when there's little space to move the handle.
Style E have seven interchangeable bits—all of which are compatible with power tools. Store them inside the handle so they don’t get lost or misplaced when you’re not using them. Bits are held in place by magnets. To use these screwdrivers as a nutdriver, remove the bit and turn fasteners with the shaft.

Ball-End Driver Shafts
Create your own tool by attaching these shafts to a handle, or use with socket wrenches and power tools. They have a ball end that allows angled entry to make good contact with the recess when a standard-tip shaft can’t.
