Food Industry Micro M12 Cords

FDA compliant for direct contact with food, these cords are safe to use with 12 mm proximity switches, valves, and power supplies in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications. They won’t break down from high heat or washdowns with harsh cleaners and sanitizers when mated because of their IP ratings, TPE insulation, and polypropylene and stainless steel housing. Their insulation also means they’re highly flexible and resist chemicals, UV rays, and abrasion. All cords are threaded, so they won’t come loose from vibration in automated systems.
To reduce the risk you’ll mismatch connections, poles and keyways on the connector face adhere to standard coding layouts. All cords are A coded, so use them to send signal and power to AC and DC devices. They are also often used to connect devices to IO Link controllers and in fieldbus systems such as Profibus and DeviceNet.
Cords with a 90° elbow socket fit snugly against equipment, so they’re good for tight spaces.
Note: Sockets may have extra holes on their face that are not used.

Sensor Signal Converter Cords

Send data between sensors and receivers that have different signal types. These cords change the output signal from PNP to NPN. They connect your sensor to equipment with an M12 connection. Since they’re A coded, these cords work with most AC and DC systems. They’re also used to connect sensors to IO Link controllers and within fieldbus systems, such as Profibus and DeviceNet.
These cords were designed with tough industrial applications in mind. Insulated with polyurethane, they bend easily without cracking, and they won’t break down from oil or coolants. They’re IP rated to block out water if briefly submerged or sprayed during high-pressure washdowns. With a 90° elbow socket, these cords sit flush against equipment, so they fit behind machinery and in other tight spaces. The socket has internal threads that keep it from shaking loose due to vibration.
To determine the signal output of your sensor, use a tester (not included).

Food Industry Micro M12 Screw-Together Connectors
Safe for direct contact with food, these FDA compliant connectors are often used with 12 mm proximity switches, console lights, valves, and power supplies on food and beverage lines. With an IP69K rating and stainless steel and polypropylene housing, they withstand harsh chemicals and the high-temperature washdowns required on food lines. The TPE outer insulation has excellent flexibility and resists abrasion, chemicals, and UV damage. Threaded ends create a reliable, secure connection that won't shake loose from vibration. Standardized pole and keyway coding layouts reduce the chances of mis-mating cords, which simplifies setup and replacement.
These A-coded connectors work with AC and DC sensors, actuators, motors, light curtains, and other devices. They’re also used to connect equipment to IO Link controllers and in Profibus, DeviceNet, and other fieldbus systems.
90° elbow connectors fit snugly against equipment, so they’re good for tight spaces.
Note: Sockets may have extra holes on their face that are not used.

Micro M12 Push-In Connectors
Quickly mate these connectors by pushing them together. They have an A-coded face and are often used with 12 mm proximity switches to send power and signal to automated systems and Profibus systems. All are rated IP69K for protection from dust and high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns.
Plugs and sockets mate with receptacles of the opposite gender. They do not mate with each other.
Sockets and female receptacles may have extra holes on the face that are not used.

Sanitary Nano M8 Connectors
Send signal and power to low-current devices with M8 connections in food processing and other sanitary applications. These connectors are designed to be easy to keep clean. A smooth housing and hex nut limit the places food and other contaminants could get stuck. The nut is 316 stainless steel, so it stands up to most cleaners and won’t rust. All are rated IP65, IP68, and IP69K when mated, so they protect against the high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns common to sanitary environments. They’ll also seal out dust and water from temporary submersion. Also known as pico connectors, M8 connectors are often used with 8 mm and smaller proximity switches and photoelectric switches.
UL and C-UL listed as well as CE marked, these connectors meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.

Food Industry Micro M12 Screw-Together Ethernet Connectors

FDA compliant to safely touch food and threaded for a tight hold, these connectors won’t vibrate loose as they send high-speed data to sensors and other automated devices in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical plants. They stand up to brief submersion as well as high-heat washdowns and harsh cleaners common to food lines, thanks to their IP ratings, TPE insulation, and stainless steel and polypropylene housing. Their insulation also means they’re flexible and won’t break down from abrasion or UV exposure. Overall, they’re more rugged than traditional RJ45 connectors.
To reduce the risk of signal loss between equipment, these connectors block signal interference from nearby devices. Poles and keyways on their face adhere to standard coding layouts, keeping you from mis-mating connections. D coded, these connectors are often used within Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and EtherCat systems. They can also power devices as they send data, so you don’t need a separate power cord. But, your device must be Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible.
When choosing an Ethernet connector, make sure you match or exceed your network’s category industry designation. These connectors are backward compatible—for example, a Category 6 connector will work in a Category 5 network, but it’ll only run at the Category 5 speed.
