    Ethernet Cords with M8 Connectors

Unlike the RJ45 ends on traditional Ethernet cords, the threaded M8 ends on these cords keep contaminants out and resist coming loose from vibration. They are often used with sensors, switches, I/O modules, and computers. Braided shielding protects against signal interference. Insulated with polyurethane rubber, these cords bend easily, so they are ideal for applications that require continuous flexibility such as robotics. They also resist oil. When mated, they are IP67 rated for protection from dust and temporary submersion.

Ethernet Cords with M8 and RJ45 Connectors

Send high-speed data between sensors, switches, or I/O modules with an M8 connection and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and computers with a traditional RJ45 connection. Braided and foil shielding blocks signal interference from nearby equipment. And with a polyurethane rubber insulation that bends easily, these cords are ideal for applications that continuously flex such as robotics. They also resist oil. The M8 end is rated IP67 when mated, so it keeps out dust and water from temporary submersion.

    M12 Connectors

These connectors run the automated world, from robot arms and photoelectric sensors to PLCs, IO-Link devices, and Ethernet switches. The original metric circular connector, they continue to be the standard today. They screw together tightly to protect against contaminants and hold firm against high vibration. Each one has a coding that indicates a unique keyway, preventing mismated connection errors before they happen. The coding also tells you whether a connector can send power, control, or data. Some can send a combination of the three, reducing the need for multiple connectors.

    Shielded

Shielded—Shielding blocks electrical noise from motors, drives, and other equipment, preventing erratic readings, false triggers, and data errors that cause downtime. Use these connectors near high-interference sources or anywhere with shielded cable, such as fieldbus networks, sensors, and encoders.

Use these compact connectors in spaces where M12 connectors won't fit. They're often used in crowded, high-vibration areas such as robot arms and IO-Link devices with many connections. They also fit on miniature proximity and photoelectric sensors.

    Continuous-Flex Ethernet Cable

Image of Product. Front orientation. Ethernet Cable. Continuous-Flex Ethernet Cable .
Often used in automated applications that require continuous motion such as robotics, this cable sends data between computers, servers, and switches without degrading data transmission. This Ethernet cable is backward compatible so it works in networks that meet the same or a lower category. It is double shielded, which means it has a layer of braid and foil shielding for better protection against signal interference than braid alone. Use it in environments with high signal distortion, such as near transformers, generators, and heavy duty motors. Bend radius is the point to which the cable will bend without being damaged. It is measured from the center of the bend to the edge of the cable. The smaller the measurement, the tighter the bend.
UL 2556 FT1—FT1 cable is suspended vertically during testing.
Flammability Rating—Flame rated cable meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test.
