Run power to welders in machine shops, garages, and other areas where these cords will be exposed to harsh conditions. These cords have either EPDM or PVC insulation that protects the cord's wires from weld slag and being dragged, kicked, and stepped on. Their insulation also won't crack or become brittle when exposed to oil, water, and weather. They also stay flexible across a wide range of temperatures. A power-indicating light on the socket illuminates when the cord has power.

NEMA 5-15 cords are for use with most tools, such as angle grinders and hammer drills, rated up to 125V AC. With an additional layer of CPE on top of the EPDM, they withstand higher temperatures than cords insulated with TPE or PVC. Even in temperatures up to 190° F, they won’t degrade from chemicals or lose their toughness.
