They are solvent based, so they dry quickly. Choose a varnish with a dielectric strength that’s greater than the voltage of the electrical equipment it protects.
Clear—Clear varnish leaves a transparent film so components can be inspected.
Red and Green—Red and green varnish stand out for identification when used to coat wire.
