Light Duty Direct-Drive Wall-Mount Exhaust Fans with Louvers

These light duty fans are designed for use without duct. They come complete with a movable-blade louver. The louvers are gravity operated so they open only when air flows through them, which prevents backdrafts. Direct-drive fans have fewer moving parts than belt-drive fans for less maintenance. Use these fans to draw stagnant and humid air out of a room or area. All have a totally enclosed motor enclosure, which can be used in dirty, dusty, and damp environments.

Dust-Resistant Direct-Drive Wall-Mount Exhaust Fans



Better suited for dirty, dusty, and damp environments than standard direct-drive fans, these have a totally enclosed motor enclosure. Direct-drive fans have fewer moving parts than belt-drive fans for less maintenance. Use these fans to draw stagnant and humid air out of a room or area.
Collars and louvers are sold separately. Use a collar to connect a wall-mount exhaust fan to a louver.

Direct-Drive Hazardous Location Duct Fans

These fans have an explosion-proof motor that is UL listed for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Group D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups F and G hazardous environments. All are direct-drive fans that have fewer moving parts than belt-drive fans for less maintenance. Also known as axial duct fans, they install inline in ductwork for use as an exhaust, supply, or booster fan. The fans have a TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) motor enclosure, which can be used in dirty, dusty, and damp environments.
Note: Airflow depends on the resistance created by ductwork. This resistance, known as static pressure (SP), is measured in inches of water.

Belt-Drive Hazardous Location Duct Fans

These fans have an explosion-proof motor that is rated for hazardous environments. All are belt-drive fans that are quieter and have a longer life span than direct-drive fans because components can be replaced if worn or damaged. They install inline in ductwork for use as an exhaust, supply, or booster fan. Fans rated IP44 have a motor enclosure that's rated for protection in damp environments. UL and CSA standards apply to the motor.

These blowers have an explosion-proof motor that is UL listed for hazardous locations. They also have an aluminum housing for spark resistance. These blowers install in ductwork similar to duct fans, but are for use where high static pressures are present. Use them for equipment cooling, material conveying, drying, ventilating, and exhausting.

For resistance to chemicals as well as corrosion, they have a plastic housing. They install in ductwork similar to duct fans, but are for use where high static pressures are present. Fiberglass housing withstands organic chemicals, such as ammonia, antifreeze, and mineral oils.
PVC plastic housing offers greater chemical resistance than the fiberglass housing. It resists strong oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid but will not withstand contact with perchloric acid.
Blowers that cannot be sold to the listed areas are restricted due to energy efficiency requirements.

Edge-Flow Equipment-Cooling Blowers
For use in tight spaces where other equipment-cooling blowers won't fit, air enters through the center of these blowers and then expels along the edges. They create a more concentrated stream of air than equipment-cooling fans to blow away the heat generated by electronic equipment, induction heaters, and high-wattage bulbs. Use them to keep heat-sensitive equipment such as electronic components cool.

Also known as regenerative blowers, use these to produce high-flow compressed air with low pressure or vacuum to operate pump drives, lift tables, and conveying systems. Compressed air blowers are also used for drying, exhausting, and aeration.
Air circulates inside the blower housing to compress air, which generates pressure or vacuum. Single-stage blowers circulate air once and then exhaust. Two-stage blowers circulate air twice and then exhaust, creating higher pressure or vacuum than single-stage blowers with the same horsepower.
Inverter-rated blowers have a motor that can run at slow speeds without overheating, so they can be used with a motor speed control (variable frequency drive).
