Plug-In Emergency Backup Lights

No hardwiring required—these backup lights plug into a standard outlet. They kick on when the power goes out to light the path toward exits. Their battery generates at least 90 minutes of power in compliance with UL 924 standards for backup lights. A low-voltage disconnect extends the life of the battery by switching it off before it’s fully drained. Direct light where it’s needed by angling the adjustable heads.
All have a manual-test switch that lets you verify the battery and heads are working. Lights with automatic battery testing run a self-check once a month. An indicator tells you if they need maintenance.
Style A and B lights are compatible with add-on heads. Run wiring between add-on heads and your backup light to extend lighting into stairwells, exits, and other remote areas. The greater the wattage of the add-on heads—and the more of them you use—the more they’ll reduce your light’s run time. Maximum wattage for add-on heads refers to the total wattage of add-ons you can use without pushing your light’s run time below 90 minutes.
Maximum distance between lights represents how far you can space out two lights without creating a dark zone.

Add-On Heads for Emergency Backup Lights

Expand the reach of emergency backup lights. These add-on heads are often used to extend emergency lighting into stairwells, exits, and other remote areas. They’re an economical alternative to buying an additional full-sized backup light. To power them, run low-voltage wiring right from your backup light. They are adjustable, so you can angle them to direct light where it’s needed.
Select a head that matches your backup light’s output voltage. To meet UL 924, don't exceed the maximum wattage of add-on heads listed for your light. This ensures you won’t push your light's run time below 90 minutes.
Heads for use in damp locations withstand humidity and moisture. Heads for use in wet locations are sealed to keep out humidity, rain, and snow. Heads for use in washdown meet NEMA 4X, which also certifies them as protected from corrosive liquids and dust.

Washdown Emergency Backup Lights

A gasket seals the enclosure of these backup lights from washdowns. Adjust the heads toward your walkways—they kick on when the power goes out, lighting the path toward exits. Rated UL 924, their battery provides at least 90 minutes of light. A low-voltage disconnect automatically shuts off the battery before it's fully drained, prolonging its overall lifespan. All are dust-tight.
Lights cannot be sold to the listed areas due to energy efficiency regulations.
For high-pressure or corrosive washdowns, choose a light rated IP66 or NEMA 4X. Those rated NEMA 13 can withstand light sprays of oil and coolant.
Lights that are rated NSF/ANSI 2 or ETL sanitation marked are approved for use in food processing plants and industrial kitchens.
Choose lights with a battery heater for cold environments such as refrigerated warehouses and outdoor garages.
All have a manual-test switch that lets you verify the battery and heads are working. Style B and D lights are compatible with add-on heads. Run wiring between add-on heads and your backup light to extend lighting into stairwells, exits, and other remote areas. The greater the wattage of the add-on heads—and the more of them you use—the more they’ll reduce your light’s run time. Maximum wattage for add-on heads refers to the total wattage of add-ons you can use without pushing your light’s runtime below 90 minutes.
