These screws won't rust or corrode when exposed to moisture and chemicals. Their deep, six-point socket keeps hex keys from slipping out and damaging the drive.
Length is measured from under the head.
Silver-Plated 18-8 Stainless Steel—The silver plating helps these screws thread on smoothly during installation. They also won't rust in wet and outdoor environments.

Cleaned and Bagged Socket Head Screws for High Vacuum

Image of Product. Front orientation. Socket Head Screws. Cleaned and Bagged Socket Head Screws for High Vacuum.
Install these screws in high-vacuum systems where even a small amount of contamination could affect performance. These are cleaned and double-bagged in an ISO Class 5 (Fed. Std. Class 100) clean room. The deep, six-point socket keeps hex keys from slipping out and damaging the drive.
Length is measured from under the head.
Silver-Plated 18-8 Stainless Steel—18-8 stainless steel screws release gas at a slower rate than other metal screws, so your system can reach higher levels of vacuum. The silver plating helps the screw slide smoothly when tightening or loosening it in the mounting surface.

Create threads in hard-to-work areas—where you can’t reach the back of a workpiece, or material is too thin to be tapped. For a strong grip, these rivet-mount nuts have distorted threads that increase friction with bolts. Because they mount with two rivets, they won’t spin when you’re tightening screws. However, these nuts do move inside their retainers, which lets you install bolts at a slight angle; use them to align with off-center parts. All meet military guidelines for dimensions and material.
Silver-Plated A286 Stainless Steel—Silver-plated stainless steel nuts withstand temperatures up to 800° F. The silver plating also adds lubricity and prevents seizing caused by friction between nuts and bolts.

    Mil. Spec. Distorted-Thread Flange Nuts

Image of Product. Front orientation. Flange Nuts. Mil. Spec. Distorted-Thread Flange Nuts.
Not only do these have the strongest hold of all the flange nuts we offer, they are also manufactured and tested to strict U.S. military standards for material and construction. They have irregularly shaped threads that grip the screw to resist loosening in high-vibration applications. The threads prevent the nut from backing out, but they also increase the effort to install and remove. To get these nuts off, you may need special tools, such as an impact wrench or propane torch, so they are not reusable. Nuts have a flange that distributes pressure evenly across the mounting surface without the need for a separate washer. They are ideal for securing screws in oversized or irregularly shaped holes since the flange covers a larger area than standard nuts. Also known as collar nuts.
    Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel
High-Temperature Silver-Plated A286 Stainless Steel—The silver plating reduces friction during installation, so these nuts thread on smoother than others. They are stronger than 316 stainless steel and withstand temperatures up to 800° F. Nuts resist corrosion from chemicals, such as bleach and chlorine, but won't hold up to salt water as well as 316 stainless steel.

Mil. Spec. Flex-Top Locknuts for Heavy Vibration

Image of Product. Front orientation. Locknuts. Mil. Spec. Flex-Top Locknuts for Heavy Vibration.
These locknuts are manufactured and tested to strict U.S. military standards for material and construction. The top section expands to grip the screw on all sides for a stronger hold than both nylon-insert and distorted-thread locknuts. As a result, they're suitable for use in equipment with constant, vigorous vibration, such as engines. These locknuts are reusable a handful of times, but the holding power decreases with each use.
    Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel
Silver-Plated 18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these locknuts won't rust. The silver plating adds lubricity to help them thread on smoothly during installation.
