18-8 Stainless Steel Narrow Cheese Head Slotted Screws

More corrosion resistant than steel, and almost as strong, these 18-8 stainless steel screws have a narrower head than pan head screws to fit into tight spaces. They’re often used in electrical panels and next to flanges and raised surfaces in humid, damp, and washdown environments, but will corrode if exposed to salt water or chemicals. A deep slot gives you more driving power and keeps the screwdriver from slipping. Length is measured from under the head.
Passivated screws are finished with an extra layer of rust protection.
ISO 1207 (formerly DIN 84), DIN 920, and DIN 922 screws meet international standards for fastener dimensions.

Metric 18-8 Stainless Steel Slotted Flat Head Screws

These 18-8 stainless steel screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. All are passivated for added protection against oxidation and corrosion. They’re angled under the head to sit flush within countersunk holes. Length is measured from the top of the head.

Metric Low-Strength Steel Hex Nuts

About half the strength of medium-strength steel nuts, these nuts are for light duty fastening applications, such as securing access panels.
Zinc-plated and zinc yellow-chromate plated steel nuts resist corrosion in wet environments.

Heat-Set Inserts for Plastic

Install these inserts into plastic parts to create a secure base for fasteners. Also known as Chevron and headed inserts, they are often used to strengthen mounting holes on brittle plastics, such as on 3D printed parts. Unlike plastic threads, which wear down with repeated use, these threads hold their shape over a long life. Press inserts into straight holes that have been drilled, printed, or molded into plastic parts, then heat them with a soldering tip to melt the surrounding plastic. As the plastic cools, it fuses to the sharp, diagonal ridges around the inserts, which withstand torque and prevent the inserts from being pulled out. The interior is fully threaded, so you can access the threads from both sides of a through-hole.
Made with lead, brass inserts are stronger than aluminum and other brass alloys but not as strong as stainless steel inserts. They have good corrosion resistance.

Miniature Press-Fit Threaded Standoffs with Open End

Designed to fit in the limited space of compact electronics, such as laptops and hand-held devices, these standoffs have a recess under the head that clinches a panel while splines on the head bite in for an extra-strong hold. The open end creates a through hole. Standoffs have excellent wear resistance and may be mildly magnetic. Use a lever press to install.
