    Flat Control Cable

    Also known as festoon cable, this cable is made to withstand strain when hanging in loops and traveling laterally back-and-forth in cranes, hoists, and conveyors. It can handle periodic flexing and bending, but it is not designed for continuous motion.
    Unshielded—Choose unshielded wires when electromagnetic interference (EMI) isn't a concern. Equipment such as motors and pumps may have voltage fluctuations and current spikes that distort signals.

    Ribbon Cable

    Often used in electronic prototyping or in the interior of computers, this flat cable is ultra flexible with small-gauge wires so it fits in tight spaces. Unlike standard flat control cable, the wires are bonded together without an overall insulation, so they can be easily separated for installation.
    UL 2556 VW-1— Cable is flame rated VW-1 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material.
